I was (mistakenly) big on Pompeo too, even when the 2020 election results came out I remember him at a press conference saying something (confidently) like, "let's wait and see on those election results" implying that he/they knew it was stolen and all the fraud would be revealed. But nothing came of it.
This latest news appears to be the final nail in his political coffin. MAGA he is not.
I can't claim the bushes. The bushes were around when I was in college, which of course meant Republicans were "the man" and politics (other than immature, illinformed, automatic rejection) was nowhere in my mind.
Just 2 months ago, there was an army of deep state shills on this site pushing how Pempeo was a Trump guy that should be brought back into the new administration. When I pointed out all the media appearances over the last 4 years of him attacking President Trump, I was attacked and told it was all a lie. This man wanted to kill journalists, said Trump deserved to be charged for taking classified documents, and did everything he could to cover up deep state crimes. Too bad for him, he didn't get a Joe Biden pardon.
Are security clearances supposed to be lifelong -meaning do you get do you get to keep the same level of security clearance your whole life until it is removed from you they don't even like downgrade it?

Someone mentioned that is was Pompeo that told Trump releasing the JFK files was at the wrong time of his first administration. I mean, if a person had hindsight, that would be a correct statement. Imo. Back then, obviously many would have believed what was released, but as of today, it’s on a whole other playing field. One that will get international attention as well. Esp after Trump would be assassins. The release now has ten times the effect it would have back then. Imo of course.
The security clearance revoked could be standard practice for someone whose done with their job. I don’t know. I’d have to see what Trump says about him. If Trump dogs him or insults him as incompetent or the like, then that would tells us a lot. I’ve not seen where Trump talked about him so I don’t have a opinion on that.

Yes. This could just be him stepping down and having his clearance revoked, which should be standard protocol.
