Skunky beer is almost always an issue with the distributor, not the manufacturer. Whoever you are buying beer from is ripping you off and selling you trash that's been sitting around.

A long time ago someone who worked the docks in Newport News told me that Heinekin sits for months in a container before it gets distributed. I don't know how true that is, but it would explain the skunky flavor that people go wild over. Seriously, I don't understand why people like skunky beers, but then again, people like IPAs, or pretend like they do. I guess some people aren't happy unless they're miserable.
