Exactly, just like sinking land they blame on ocean rising. Look at an early photo of the Statue of Liberty, and look at one now. The ocean isn't a tad deeper. Sections of land sink and rise, or stay the same.
Plus, when the tide comes in on a full moon, it covers my feet when I am two inches further back than I used to be when it did that. I'm kidding. It's the same as it ever was.

A team has located a World War II P-38 Lightning fighter plane beneath more than 300 feet of ice in Greenland. They first found hints of the plane’s position in 2011, but a drone equipped with ground-penetrating radar recently confirmed its location. The team hopes to salvage the plane in 2019.1
No big deal. It just turned out that the concept of sub-ice basing (that was the experiment) was not worth the bother. They gave up, dismantled the reactor and carted it away, and abandoned the base. Why spend money on doing anything else with it?
The Base they’re referring too. Was a subterranean facility dug into the Ice. It wasn’t a structure or surface level facility that was covered.
It also has the distinct pleasure of being one of the first facilities to function off its own miniature Nuclear Reactor.
