A High School friend was promoted to the Head of Sexual assault in his Police Department. One of their responsibilities were tracking child porn. They had to get a Warrant before they could go into a home. There was always the concern of not finding any CP at the Home. It looked bad for the Department & didn't make the Judges happy. He said WHENEVER they entered a room with STARWARS or STARTREK paraphernalia. They knew they were going to find Child Porn. It had a 100% correlation of success, with all his Warrants.
It blew my mind. I'm too old to be familiar with Pokemon. Next time I see him, during the Holidays, I'll ask him if that was also something he found in the bedrooms.

Last I checked, some of the cards are worth in the 3k's in excellent value. I have yet to get them graded but I will. I also have comic books and again, some of them are like in the 5k's. Just need to wait til they enter the Golden age of comics then boom, 100k's.

I’ve never seen anything in Pokémon to have me concerned in that direction, but that doesn’t mean it’s not there. Pokémon is more than old enough to have potentially created these people.

The issue is that toys are marketed over generations, hence targeting both children and adults alike...that makes children feel like adults; while giving adults access to children.
Keep an eye on things like "trading" cards...which puts the emphasis on trading with strangers at shops; conventions; flea-markets or private meet-ups both analogue and digital.
