"JUST IN" where? Where's the sauce for this claim? I went looking for news on SCJ Thomas and didn't see this anywhere. Did the tweeter read it on an X post or see it in a video? I can't find anything to corroborate this claim. Would be nice if true...
Lol they don't care. They have their orders from our greatest ally and that's all that matters. God knows what blackmail there is of them for them to have gotten their position.
Something would have to happen to Roberts. He has it for life or until he steps down from the bench from what I understand. Chief J is not just a designation, it's an actual job-titled-position that is not transferable to another Justice 'slot'. (that's really poorly worded but hope it makes some sense)
Judicial appointments are not for life, but for periods of good behavior. Article 3 of the US Constitution. If some of the things that we suspect him of doing are publicly proven, he can and should be removed and prosecuted. That would be an ample time for President Trump to appoint CT to CJ.
Please refresh me on what we suspect he has done? The only things that come to mind are (1) possible paperwork issues with adopting his now grown kids from Ireland and (2) being in some 'secret' judge club along with 2 other SC justices (both libs) which is not illegal. Worst case, the 'club' might seem to make him and the others impartial, which would be an ethics violation. Sure, we don't like the way he has fallen in several of his last decisions but I cannot see them reaching the level of a successful impeachment or removal. I think we just have bad luck on that member with regards to our causes.
I hope that the inquiries include all potential [personal] conflicts of interest with those judges, including the political bias conflicts skewing impartiality.
Waste of time. Not sure how this will further the cause other than as a narrative
tool. These Judges could go out and shoot someone and they wouldnt be removed through impeachment.
Maybe Congress can do something through the reconciliation bill so they dont need 60 in the Senate. Deny these courts funding. It is well within their Article 1 powers.
Lol some "judge" will "order" them to continue funding, and they'll immediately continue funding. Doesn't every other president observe absolute obedience to "judges," even lower court ones? Trump and the entire executive branch does it too, even though they absolutely within their authority, and the bounds of the constitution, to continue whatever it was they were doing. They could rightly tell whatever "judge" to fuck off, and they would be well within their authority to do so.
This is exactly what we need! I too, cannot find an article that supports this post. Maybe because Justice Thomas is considering it versus a ruling, that itβs not published. Hereβs hoping he does indeed set a precedent!

True dat. When I see any single-source story that has huge implications, I immediately want corroboration or I don't believe it.
This! What role does SCOTUS have in the impeachment process of a judge? I don't there is any. Impeachment is a construct belonging to the House.
I'm just throwing out a guess, but maybe they can determine if whatever lower court "judge" acted outside their role and the constitution.
Justice Thomas has walked through his own ring of fire and thus has an inkling of what Trump ha been through.
But the Goat bit his tongue for 30 years waiting for reinforcements. He knows and Karma is a bitch after 30 years. "No prisoners."
Thomas has been a reliable voice of righteous dissent the whole time
Indeed. Along with Rehnquist and Scalia, they were some of the best in my lifetime.
Great. It will also be a warning to other activist judges.

I commented on this before and I will say it again, Clarence for CJ.

The supreme court should be a 10-year appointment and that's it.
I like that. Same with congress members.

I'm guessing that Thomas is waiting to step down until after the plan is completed?
His day has come. It was a long wait.
Only 5? Not even 5%? Why even bother? That's a punch in the balls to every single Trump supporter.
