President Trump's first inaugural address hinted at some of the wondrous technologies he will bring forth during his presidency and I think some of those relate to the military space program. The lunar missions since Apollo surely haven't been using chemical rockets.
He did state before winning the 2024 election that under his administration, they would develop "vertical takeoff and landing vehicles" for individuals and small families. If GME ever moonshoots (which is now looking like a pipedream), ill forego the normal lambo for a flying model
Aviation career person here. All the major manufacturers have designed and already supersonic aircraft test planes. They are just waiting for the green light to finalize some testing and mass produce.
Also, we will see Uber/Waymo of the skies, so to speak, introduced for public use during the Summer Olympics in LA 2028.
We did. They were the Concordes. Too expensive. Not enough market. You only get what you are willing to pay for. And not even that, if you are in a small enough minority. But, be hopeful. There are startup companies trying to develop a new generation of supersonic airliners.
I worked.for a company in US where HQ was in UK. The execs flew on Concorde because their time was so valuable. Gorbachev visited UK HQ once. The company folded a few years later....anyway
Old news. I covered this in my first comment on the topic. He misspoke, and he gets to explain why or how. What exactly is your point? It is a bit jejune to simply repost the subject of the OP.

Didn’t he just sign an executive order freeing up airspace for drone and flying car technology?
yes, it does look like electrogravitics is about to go mainstream
Finally, we might get our electric flying cars 👍🤪

Parachute training will need to become a regular part of learning to drive then.
Meet George Jetson…
And electric flying deaths, lots of them.
While it makes sense, I've always wondered if that is a real part of the spectrum. I've only seen the term used in SciFi until now.
SuperSonic also. Like the Concorde jets. We could probably should have had consumer supersonic planes by now.
Was on a flight with a guy a number of years ago (5-7?) who excitedly told me that his company was in the process of developing a supersonic airplane.
'Wonder what became of that project(?)

It was the noise problem that did for concorde, bloody do-gooders.

Exactly… But they don’t want us useless eaters to enjoy that type of travel that the elites enjoy. It makes them feel special.

I remember that… 🧐
Flying cart technology?
Siri ugh
There have been no lunar missions after Apollo, and we have been using chemical rockets all along. Wanting it to be true, does not make it true.
