I have always found it interesting that ADHD didn't exist until the 1970s national education system reforms were introduced. It's almost like it's more convenient to accuse children of a biological disorder instead of admit the shortfalls of the American education system. Hu-weird...
.......And if you get a "diagnosis" of ADHD you can aget SSI for the child......that's $967 a month if you can hide how much money you are actually making.
I have seen a family of 10 have ALL their kids on SSI because they ALL have ADHD.
It's because we have a very conformist attitude, if you don't do the math exactly as the state says, you are wrong even if you can solve it better, after and more accurately in your head. Red pen and F's on your papers even if you got all the answers right.
To do that would involve a lot of painful and uncomfortable admissions about reality and biological differences.
And American society at seemingly a subconscious level does all it can to avoid confronting uncomfortable truths that go against what we prefer to believe about the world.
What's funny is that the same aversion to unpopular opinions and trends is what may save the world from AI. They keep tweaking the AI algorithm to keep it polite, forcing it to not notice what data or trends point to. AI notices and mankind tells it to not notice.
Honestly I’m more concerned about our tendency to keep burying our heads in the sand destroying the world. Then I am concerned about any potential threat from AI.
Most of our problems today are directly caused by our avoiding the metaphorical elephants in the room that AI was telling us existed.
And our steadfastly reinforcing the same principles, behaviors, and beliefs that led us to the situation. Because to do otherwise would be admitting the inadequacies of philosophical, political, and Scientific theories and ideas we’ve grown deathly attached to.
If any true species ending threat comes from AI. It’s going to likely be one we unintentionally make ourselves in a self-fulfilling prophecy due to our steadfast pursuit of burying our heads in the sand to avoid reality.
It could easily be hypoglycemia, an overreactive insulin response to blood sugar spikes (think sugary cereals for breakfast, or Oreo cookies for snacks). The insulin shock (blood sugar plunge) starves the brain cells, resulting in feelings of discomfort, restlessness, and anxiety, resulting in distraction and agitation. I had this in college and was at a complete loss to know what to do. A homeopathic doctor had me take a glucose tolerance test to diagnose it. The answer is to stay off carbohydrates. About 2/3rds of cases are misdiagnosed as a mental problem.
In my opinion, as someone who has had it all of my life, it is part of nuero divergence, it is a label that has become a junk label. ADHD is a throw back gift to when we were hunter gatherers, our abilities to scan an landscape, notice detail, think on our feet, discern danger or opportunity are superior. We see patterns immediately. Our problem is that we never fit in the cookie cutter form of education, we get bored with the obvious and are ready too move on faster than other students, we grasp concepts in the abstract, and take longer to process those concepts into dimensional forms. There are some things with kids that have to do with what they are eating, what they took in the form of vaccines, what the mother consumed while the baby is forming in her womb. That is not the same thing as a nuerodivergent person whose mind is a throwback to another time. Take the kid who will not sit still in class, make sure he eats well, is pure blooded, if he has "ADHD" he will still be distracted and bored in a regimented system. Take him out of the classroom, put him on building projects, teach him engineering and mechanics by building a bridge and ramp over a pond, he will learn mathematics, geometry, etc and excel in it, instead of having him sit in a classroom listening to a voice that lulls him to sleep , with symbols on a chalkboard. Why are there no more inventors? Because a hundred years ago, a kid who was not "academic" could leave school and become an apprentice, learn how to build a structure, and his mind could see newer and better ways to build, to create. Now there are no hands on, there arent even full books read in school, with glossary definitions and having the kid write out sentences using the new words, and by handing a tablet to a kid. Not all are created equal in ability or how brains work. There are more kids showing up on the spectrum now because the nuerotypical learning is getting streamlined to the point an intelligent kid is going to clown and wiggle and have outbursts of energy, because he already got the point, so now lets move on and do something with it. I am not talking about severe issues, I am talking about the kid who is adventurous, distracted, appears disorganized, who is offered meds so that they fit into the cookie cutter.
I posted above an explanation as to how dietary-induced hypoglycemia could easily explain most "ADHD" problems.
But I disagree somewhat about the classroom setting. When I grew up in the 50s and 60s, the classroom was designed to focus attention on the teacher. Typically, it would be a corner room in a multi-story building, with 2 walls of windows and 2 walls of blackboards. There was only the teacher and the subject matter to look at, because the windows were at our backs and mostly looked over the roofs of neighboring houses.
Fast forward to the 80s and 90s. My then spouse was a grade school teacher, good at her job. I had occasion to drop in on her classroom after hours, and sometimes to see the rooms of other teachers. It was the new school architecture, all ground floor with rooms in rows, windows on the outside wall, blackboard at the head of the room, and two blank walls---covered in a profusion of children's art projects, to one side away from the blackboard. Tremendous visual distraction, because the teacher wanted it to be interesting to look at. Therein lies a big part of the problem: classrooms are increasingly designed as day care environments, not educational environments. Nor does it help that the parents today are products of those misconceived environments.
ya....square peg round hole issue. MOST normal people dont do well at those ages when you expect them to sit on their butts all day long. especially the guys
The behaviors associated with ADHD arise with children who are hard-wired to reject our insane societal and educational standards of compliance and blind belief in authority.
My son was diagnosed ADD by a doctor, after a questionnaire filled out by his teacher. Then the meds made him a vegetable. Needless to say, he was off the meds very quickly and is fine.
Yeah, amphetamines do that for everyone. You don't "have" some disease or disorder. Your body and brain work just fine.
Former psychologist here. I had a specialty as a neuropsychologist. We know about basically nothing when it comes to the brain yet we throw all these drugs at our brains like we are with full confidence. Our best "brain experts" on earth are grasping at straws when it comes to theor actual understanding.
Personally, I think some people have "wiring" that does make them different than the norm, and that difference was/is not caused by sugar, etc.
I consider myself. Born in the late 60's, I was very different than the 8 other boys in the same neighborhood--same age group, ate the same food and sugars, etc. I am wired differently and I could have been given some labels, such as ADHD (my friends just called me a spaz), but my mom simply adjusted her parenting.
Perhaps the real issue is that greedy and contrrolling people highlighted those of us who may be few but who are certainly different, and built unnecessary services and drugs around our type, and convinced people it is a far greater "thing" so they could increase the volume of services and drugs.
But I am different. And I have Jesus, and vitamins, and a healthy lifestyle. And no meds. And I love being different.
A doctor once told me, my ADHD was the worst she had ever seen in her practice. A number of years later, I discovered L-Tyrosine, and it fixed my ADHD if taken daily. I was apparently very low on this amino acid. Going without it for 2 weeks allows the ADHD to return. The poison in vaccines, water, and in our food apparently disrupts some people's ability to process vitamins, minerals, and amino acids, creating a number of disorders. Stopping all forms of USA grown wheat, even a tiny crumb, eliminated my fibromyalgia.
You have to correct a child on what is acceptable behavior and to do as you say. Throwing a tantrum is not acceptable to most civilized people. I knew not to do such a thing by the time I was three because when I threw a tantrum I got a switch put on my legs. I wasn't beaten but I was corrected on my behavior. Too many are NOT corrected in this day and time. My sister in the church tries to reason with their child. They do not believe you should use a switch. The kid is a demon to be around. He bites and kicks and is a total monster. Parents that let their child act in such a way cause others to hate that kid.
Most hardcore Christians I meet that adhere to scripture as written are the most miserable, nasty people I have ever met. They think they get to party in heaven forever because they blindly listen to scripture that has been retranslated hundreds of times over thousands of years by people and churches with agendas you can't fathom. If someone lives a "good life" as directed by a book out of fear of eternal punishment they aren't a good person. Whisper down the lane should be a good enough experiment to prove to most people that as written I wouldn't trust the Bible, sure it's good moral framework for some people. There is even debate if the "rod" means physical punishment or just guidance. The book has no brain, use your own.
If you believe in Jesus then you should believe the Bible because H quoted from it several times and if it were not the word of God, He would have said so.
Giving guidance to a 3 year old screaming and whining like an animal is ridiculous. It takes 2 reasonable people to reason and a 99% of children are not. We have a whole generation of woke that we’re “reasoned” with. You evidently do not know any Christians.
One must also keep in mind that many of the people pedaling ‘Natural Remedies’ themselves have vested undisclosed financial interests in the products they’re shilling. Something that’s often left out when discussing criticisms of the mainstream Pharma and medical industry.
But yeah. It wouldn’t particularly surprise me. Likely ADHD is more likely in part the result of excessive chemical exposure. Such as from the artificial chemicals in our food. And the unexpected effects it has on people after prolonged exposure and consumption.
That and the fact that statistically speaking. Boys are more likely to be diagnosed with it than Girls. And much of the coursework and classes that naturally appeal to boys, though girls have also lost a fair few classes, has been removed from curriculums at many schools public and private. In favor of Egalitarian one size fits all policies and a focus on standardized testing. Otherwise it’s not considered ‘fair’.
Probably likely most of the kids with ADHD diagnoses don’t actually have anything in need of treatment. They’re just bored and there’s nothing at School that appeals to them. Giving them no motivation to sit through other classes as there’s no payoff such as being able to attend a class they might actually like or find value in. So they act out.
And of the ones who may actually have problems in need of treatment. Dietary changes might be in order first before any other treatment. Whether it be pharmaceutical and or ‘Natural Remedies’

They call them 'CRAZY CHECKS' or use to. 🤪
Yep, SSI used to be for the mentally ill (mostly). Then they just started handing them out to every lazy ass and his brother.

Take away the high fructose corn syrup, the preservatives and dyes, and see a big difference in attention span and hyperactivity.

Mental health is an absolute JOKE!
How well do you actually know Jesus of Nazareth?
Jesus, fitness, and cannabis solve a lot of mental health proven
People addicted to meth say the same thing. ADHD meds are pharmaceutical meth.
I don't think anyone has debilitating adhd. If you cannot concentrate then you work on concentrating or do things to help yourself.
There are very few circumstances where a man made drug is the answer to anything.
Try peptides. I took ADHD meds for 20 years, got off them and taking NAD+, methylated B vitamins and CogniPep now. https://recoveringkids.com/2025/03/22/cognipep/
That's great to hear. I am going to have my adhd son try nad+ drops. We will see how it goes.
I currently take nad+ and Selank which is also good for balancing hormones and brain function.
Do you mind sharing you dosing schedule for nad+?
you can disagree but that doesn't change the fact that it happened
another Jewish lie

Most of these kids are bored at school because classes teach to the lowest student. Challenge these kids and make them shine!

Lack of belt on the arse causes ADHD.

Come on now you just sound vaccinated
I had a switch put on me a few times when I behaved like a wild beast.
All hitting people does is teach them that this is a socially acceptable way to solve problems and they will do it to someone else. Break the cycle.
Spare the rod, spoil the child. Biblically sound doctrine.
