I'm thinking President Trump is bringing in a buuuuunnnch of federal agents not to calm down DC, but to have plenty of officers available to arrest scores of corrupt public officials. Judges, Representatives, Senators, and other agencies that are connected with the government will be getting a knock on their door at the exact same time so none can escape. The White House cares more about getting rid of bad government officials than gang bangers killing each other.
AND you Tynyyn, have "RATTLED THE DOOR KNOBS"!!!!!!! There will be a few "people" WHO will be looking over their shoulder(s) and NOTHING CAN STOP WHAT IS COMING...PDJT is cleaning house in a CERTAIN order so that there is NOT a BACKLASH against anyone in the administration!!!!!!!!!
Betcha' there are going to hundreds of National Guard @ sunrise!!!! OHHHH MY!!!!! Let the Chortling begin!!!!! 😱😱😱😱😱😱😮😮😮😮😮😮🧨🧨🧨🧨🧨🧨🧨🧨🧨🧨
Reeeeee, reeeeee!!!!!!! Will be the catch phrase on the nightly news.."Trump is doing something unconstitutional and for that he should be impeached ....immediately!!!!"
Depending on the ranking used Washington D.C isn’t even cracking the top 20 of biggest and Dangerous shitholes in the country.
It’s just the one easiest for them to actually do anything about. As they don’t have to navigate State Politics and getting State Governments and Local Governments to actually give a shit.
As Washington D.C is technically supposed to be administered by the Feds directly. Congress just outsourced it to a local government. As D.C was directly administered by Executive Branch appointees until the 1970s.
That may be, in terms of violent felonies committed that are actually reported AND successfully prosecuted, but if you look at the total number of crimes committed, the general malaise of the politicians and bureaucrats as they relate to the day-day operations as they realize to the general safety of the D.C. residents, the number of people on welfare, the decline of local businesses, and the total wealth of the people living there, D.C. is one of the worst places in the U.S. to raise a family.
Do you think they are reporting their stats honestly. If a burg happens and they never respond then no incident. And they do ignore a lot of those calls. Lets just start with our corrupt federal electees.
While D.C. has seen an increase in violent crime, it's important to note that these rates fluctuate. For example, the homicide rate in 2024 was 27.3 per 100,000 residents, down from 40.9 in 2023.
Reinforcing my point that it’s not even in the Top rungs for “Biggest Shithole in the Country”
It’s just the Shithole it’s easiest for the Administration to do anything about. Because they don’t need to navigate the political minefield of forcing any of the various states and localities to start addressing their domestic problems.
Ummm, I live literally 3 minutes away from DC, and am often in the city, used to work there 5 days a week, for about 25 years, and I have absolutely no idea what President Trump is talking about here.
DC has been on a steady decline in violent crimes for 30 years.
This isn't my opinion. It's a fact backed up with actual numbers. There are a couple dozen other cities in the US that are more violent than DC is. And it is nowhere near one of the most dangerous cities in the world. Not even close.
I truly don't see where he's getting this. Bad Intel, maybe? 🤷♀️

Nope. I've seen the population explode in surrounding areas. We're having a huge problem with school overcrowding in some places.
Now, granted, here in Arlington a lot of that is because of Amazon sticking their HQ2 in Crystal City, but population was increasing before then.
One of the biggest changes came with Covid, when so many companies in and around DC went full-remote, so lots of people moved out to the boonies for awhile. Made sense, since their kids were having to do distance learning as well, and they didn't have to go into the office.
My husband and I thought about moving ourselves, to some place cheaper, mainly to have a bigger house, since everyone was all at home all the time, but decided not to, because we figured lockdown would end eventually.
So, yeah, there was a blurp in people leaving during Covid, but since more and more companies are dumping remote work, population has been steadily increasing.
Interesting sidenote: the rate of people moving into the areas around DC is slower than the rate of people moving into DC itself. Lots of people moving into DC proper.
Maybe it’s being pointed out that the capitol city of the US has twice the crime rate of the national average. https://amberstudent.com/blog/post/dangerous-areas-in-washington-dc
DC also appears to be one of the least safe capitol cities in the world, which kinda sucks because the US basically plays police for the rest of the world.
Personally, I think there are other motives at play here.
I didn't say that there wasn't crime here. There is.
But it's definitely not one of the most dangerous cities in the country, and definitely not one of the most dangerous cities in the world.
And again, violent crime rates have been on the decline in DC for 30 years.
Kind of weird to single it out as one of the most dangerous cities and to even hold a press conference for it when there is something like two dozen more dangerous cities in the US.
We're not moving goal posts or changing the argument mid stream here.
I’m not saying that you’re wrong, you live there, you would know. Having twice the crime rate of the national average would not make it one of the most dangerous cities in the country or the world. The press conference was to point out that it is dangerous for the CAPITOL city of a country, how embarrassing. Also going to point out that there have been a string of violent occurrences lately. It simply looks like Trump’s goal is to make sure that DC is safe, is that a bad thing?
I found this article about the US military wanting to use the Q400 are a reconnaissance platform. Maybe something in the article, but I fear its behind a paywall. meh.
In my early twenties I was traveling for work; had a day off and wanted to go to the national Zoo to see the pandas. I got lost nearby and asked for directions from a “Good Samaritan” — they directed me to a not great part of DC. “The zoo.” Cruel.
This was pre smartphones/reliable gps and pre uber just fyi
Luckily a tall hot white chick w big boobs on her own stood out like a sore thumb and was avoided like the plague
I finally found myself to the zoo and got my panda on
Trump has a way of saying what will happen without explicitly saying what will actually happen. National Guard in DC will not clean the streets, it will essentially clean the swamp!

From your mouth to Gods ear.
Its the violence and corruption the federal leaders have going. Get rid of them you clean it up quick.
DC is 700k people...with a 23 BILLION dollar budget. there is more than just random thuggery ongoing there.
One of the Q posts delta for 8/11. BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM [Next week]

Chris, do you think there is any bacon in that soup?
Looks like bean and bacon 🫘 🥓 😋😋😋
Now do Chicago and all these other cities.

Yes, I'm aware that they fluctuate, but overall, they're down. Not just homicides, but all violent crime.
Have you seen the population in the surrounding neighborhoods decrease?
Nope. I've seen the population explode in surrounding areas. We're having a huge problem with school overcrowding in some places.

i think this may be part of the confusion
Plane fuselage, Q400. Q drop 400. Trip entered but not showing. How this ties into anything, I have no clue

The usual suspects
Trump has a way of saying what will happen without explicitly saying what will actually happen. National Guard in DC will not clean the streets, it will essentially clean the swamp!
Why, will it be drained?
