When did you see Trump break into prime-time w/ a special announcement to the American people, making the case that - because Venezuela has hurt us - we need to hurt them back?
As it stands, today, the two - the government of Venezuela and the Cartel - are inseparable. You war against one of them? You war against both of them.
I recall Trump saying that if the Iranians wanted regime change, they'd have to initiate it. The reverse course for Venezuela doesn't make a bit of sense to me.
While writing a comment for another post, I realized that action in Venezuela and the cartel is part of the wider War on Drugs declared by Richard Nixon back in 1971. Trump is clearly fighting an existing war.
I appreciate this contextual very much, Jscholl17. It gives me some solace about what, on the surface, appears to be just another globalist fever dream come real.
You think the Globalists want President Trump to march into another country and take out the drug trade? Just watch, If they go into Venezuela to extract their President, the UN will likely attack the US military.
Actually, I think that, if Lindsey Graham is salivating over the prospect, then he and other warmongers will do everything in their power to start another needless and endless war. This, my friend, would make the globalists very happy.
The truth is that almost all wars are considered existing wars. Unfortunately it takes brilliant thinking to start a new war. And yes, that new war would involve Russia and the United States in World War III starring Hillary Clinton and "Vlad the Bad" Putin. I think Hillary was going to make Russia pay for financing Donald Trump's 2016 campaign.
Unfortunately, that would be a continuation of action started between Ukraine and Russia in 2014 with the Obama Administration's latest color revolution. And that was the second of two conflicts started by the deep state during an Olympic games with this one being hosted by Russia with the first being between Russia and Georgia during the 2008 games. And they say Donald Trump was going to start World War III.
So, the solution is to sit back and do nothing? I trust Trump. He knows what he is doing and how hard he can push to get the desired results. He has intelligence that we are not privy to. I gauge the seriousness of the situation based upon Trump's reactions to it. This is a much larger iceberg than what if appears.
I really don't think most of the American people are going to disagree with what Trump is doing beyond the usual cast of leftist Trump hating characters that would rather see the country destroyed - which is why we are in this situation. This is not an action against Venezuela per se, but against the DS financial and trafficking networks that use Venezuela as a base for global operations. Election interference is but one.
This is a much bigger game and it is not just about drugs. Just trying to stop things at the border is not sufficient. Trump is dealing with trans national criminal organizations that traffic human beings, launder money, run weapons, etc. Not to mention that the same money is used to fund operations here in the US trying to overthrow the government and destroy our Republic.
They declared war against us years ago. Trump is taking the fight to them. This is a proactive strategy. Just because Trump deals with things like this differently doesn't mean he is going to all out war. He is projecting strength and the days of the US just rolling over are done. Yes, things can be a little tense, but there is a strategy involved. Unfortunately, Trump has been forced to clean up the mess that his predecessors have left him. Remember, he has access to intelligence that we do not. So, he has obviously identified Venezuela as a main player in this war against destabilization, at least in the Western Hemisphere.
Retribution? No. Regime change? Yes. There WILL be regime change, with or without land strikes. CIA SOG has already been there and set the stage. There will be an "incident" and shortly thereafter we will have the leader we want there. Why? I think the core reason is oil and natural resources. How msm or the public face of the admin will spin it I don't know but I'm sure they will. I also don't think anybody cares if Maduro is alive or dead, so long as he is no longer in control. For him to lose control the cartels (funding) has to end.
I guess my point is, there will be no war. There will regime change and possibly some civil unrest. To be clear about it, I share your sentiment. We were told no more wars.
Ok watched the first bit of video. It's tracking that Tucker thinks exactly as I do. I don't know where he goes with it, but what I see happening, if there is a kinetic strike - bombs and bullets - it will be very quick and precise. Again, I hope not, but if... So anyway, I'll watch the video when I have more time, it's long kek
Exactly. This is a much bigger picture than just Venezuela. It's transnational criminal cartels and networks that engage in all manner of human misery for money and power.
Yes, Trump can take out many birds with one stone. That is why I think he has focused on Maduro - a transnational hub for terrorist and criminal activity. Besides, it is cutting off a funding source for black operations around the world. The same black operations that got us into other wars we had no business engaging in.
I would say this is a long overdue policing action. It took deaming drug runners/manufacturers and so forth terrorists, now known as narco terrorists! They are literaly killing our population with their blight, their is no excuse to defend this behavior, unless!
You're free to believe so, but jurisdiction still matters - unless Jscholl17 is correct, and these actions are part of Nixon's 1971 War on Drugs. If so, then it's a different ball game altogether.
venezuela was involved with the stolen elections
When did you see Trump break into prime-time w/ a special announcement to the American people, making the case that - because Venezuela has hurt us - we need to hurt them back?
Tell me, please, because I missed that part.
Actually, he didn't. BIG difference between foreshadowing your actions and making the case as to why they're necessary.
Yes, this is known as the dumbass viewpoint.
That seems to be the case. Anything Trump does is reason enough for them to take an opposition stance.
This is going to be a war against the cartel strongholds, not Venezuela. That's my take.
As it stands, today, the two - the government of Venezuela and the Cartel - are inseparable. You war against one of them? You war against both of them.

I heard Venezuela sent jets out to attack a smuggling plane the other day.
I don't think it's as simple as it looks. I read it that Maduro's strings have been cut and he can work with Trump now and clear out the cartels.
That would be a white hat kind of move.

👍
Remember the 2020 election steal. Venezuela was part of the cause.
I'm all for transparency and getting to the bottom of the Steal.
This? This looks like retribution.
All it will take is one photo of a dead Venezuelan kid from one of our strikes, and Trump is TOAST.
So, the solution is to sit back and do nothing? I trust Trump. He knows what he is doing and how hard he can push to get the desired results. He has intelligence that we are not privy to. I'm not saying do nothing. But there are other ways, including stronger security at the border to stop drugs before they enter the country.
I trust Trump 99% of the time. But the Deep State and the neocons that do its bidding surround him. He's GEOTUS. But he's not infallible.
This is a much bigger game and it is not just about drugs. Just trying to stop things at the border is not sufficient. Actually the footage of the dead Venezuelan kid could help President Trump in the end.
How?
Because something will be off about that kid's death and us pedes will identify that situation.

I just fear, as does the good colonel here, that it won't be as quick and easy as 99% of folks here think it will be. War rarely ever is.

I truly hope so. I really do.
The government and the cartels are the same thing.
That's why you have to cut the strings.
Exactly. This is a much bigger picture than just Venezuela. It's transnational criminal cartels and networks that engage in all manner of human misery for money and power.
I believe they are all being taken out simultaneously in south america.

For now, I'm noticing key words.. "prepared" and "pressure".
This isn't new. Its just an end to the poison we were in for decades. We dont need to go to war if someone wants that 50 million bounty on Maduro
That's some mean brush, Jake Sully.
Just being honest. The Left gaslights us ALL THE TIME. When our own side tells us one thing and then does another? It's troublesome.
I would say this is a long overdue policing action. It took deaming drug runners/manufacturers and so forth terrorists, now known as narco terrorists! They are literaly killing our population with their blight, their is no excuse to defend this behavior, unless!

This isnt a new war its an old war started by them.
We didn't start this, they did. FAFO.

Don't worry. This will be like the strikes on the nuclear facilities - in and out, clean and simple. No war.
