No, if you look at the conversation, the people commenting clearly thought furloughed workers were fired. That's not the same as the ones Trump fired.
Where do you see any indication that they're going to be fired (by Trump or anyone else) simply because they were furloughed?
You also might want to go check on the status of those people Trump fired, because a judge has put an injunction blocking many of them, which has been extended.
They deferred the ACA vote to January, when we will have to go through all this again. They only approved a stop gap funding bill that will take us through January, and the bill that held this vote up will be reintroduced. So there's a very good chance we'll have another shutdown in January.
🚨 UPDATE: the U.S. Senate is about to take a KEY procedural vote to END the Schumer Shutdown. - 10 Senate Dems have said they’re voting with us. WH is on board. - Here’s a timeline breakdown of what happens next. Should be a matter of time.👇
Some parts of government should have never been opened to begin with. And that includes Federal, States, and local. We are being ripped off by most of government.
How can we tell? Because the Commies want more, much more, government!
It looks like the old biblical 40-day (year, decades) period for separation from evil might be kicking in again.
A symbolic reboot for the US government?
*a 4-based period in scripture usually indicates a time period for the central protagonists to separate from satanic influence and re-begin their process towards Heaven's purpose.
(10-generations from Adam to Noah, Noah's 40 day flood before 'the new heaven and earth', 400 yrs for Abraham's descendants (the Israelites) before liberation, Moses' 40-day fast to be able to receive the 10 commandments, 40 years wandering in the wilderness before being able to enter Canaan, 400 years from the last prophet Malachi until the coming of Jesus, Jesus 40-day fast after John the Baptist declines to follow him, 40-day resurrection period before ascension, etc.)
BREAKING: Senate Republicans and Democrats have reached a deal to end the government shutdown, according to Politico. “You have a split in the Democratic caucus… There’s a lot of division there. There are some Democrats who are going to come out and support this test vote. The others are going to rage at them.”
Politico: “The agreement, which was negotiated in part by Sens. Angus King, Jeanne Shaheen, and Maggie Hassan as well as GOP senators, has ‘more than enough’ members of the Senate Democratic Caucus to advance, according to two people granted anonymity to disclose the terms.”
Chad Pergram: “We’re looking at this test vote sometime after 8 o’clock EST here in the Senate.”
BREAKING: Senators have reached a deal to end the government shutdown.
The agreement was negotiated by Sens. Angus King, Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan, as well as several GOP senators, and there are enough Democratic caucus members in favor of the deal, sources tell Fox News.
This was very telling. The only ones that wouldn't survive are the leeches. We'd make something work for the handicap that can't work, for the air traffic controllers that get employed by the airport, etc....It's increasingly clear the Gov't isn't needed as much as we thought.
They haven't voted on it yet, they did invoke cloture however. According to Senate Periodicals
"The Senate will convene today at 11:00am. Following Leader remarks, the Senate will resume consideration of H.R.5371, {Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act, 2026}, upon reconsideration, post-cloture."

Does anyone know if they signed off on it as is, or did the GOP cave on anything?
I'm hearing that Federal workers that got fired during the shutdown are going to get their jobs back with back pay but I'm hoping that's not true.
Pretty sure it is true. Had to be pas the, what, 60 day mark for it to be permanent. This was expected.
Nothing though, saying they cannot be re-fired.
Unfortunately not atm. It was parroted repeatedly by several people when this all started and I never confirmed the actual precedent, rule, code, etc.
Now that it has been shown that there was an increase in productivity with them gone.
They weren't fired they were furloughed. By law they come back with back pay. Now it's been proven they are not needed. They will be fired permanently
No, they will not be fired. Seriously, where are people getting this idea?
Furlough went to the non essential workers.
Firings to the non performing workers.
🙄
Seriously where are you getting YOUR idea they won't be fired? Trump has fired thousands already.

I think there might be one or two other injunctions against some of those Reduction In Force terminations. I'm not 100% sure, though.
Doesn't really signal that more RIF terminations are coming if there are injunctions on the ones he's already done.
No if you look at your reply it was clear that the poster said they would eventually be fired after some time by Trump.
Stop trying to gaslight
There were furlough and RIfs. The two are not the same.
Dude, after all the government shutdowns over the past 9 years, how can you not know that federal workers aren't fired, but instead furloughed?
Where did you get the idea that federal workers are fired during shutdowns?
Well that's irritating. I was required to work. WTF
I heard that today and don't like that at all. The SCOTUS already upheld POTUS' right to fire.
Asking the right question

Thanks, fren.
Most welcome. 👍
🚨BREAKING: Sen. Jacky Rosen’s vote makes 60, enough to move toward reopening. She joins:
Dick Durbin (IL) Maggie Hassan (NH) Tim Kaine (VA) Angus King (I-ME) Cortez Masto (NV) Jeanne Shaheen (NH) John Fetterman (PA)
AOC and House Dems are raging.

I’m watching the Senate Floor Proceedings in Real Time - It’s literally 59 to 40 right now, and it’s the unofficial tally.
I was kinda hoping it would stay closed

Me too
The EBT parasites didn’t suffer nearly enough.

40 is the number for probationary ot test period.
Goliath taunted the Israelites for 40 days until David walked up and heard it.

🚨 BREAKING: It's been CONFIRMED a deal has been reached to reopen the government, a huge win for President Trump.
Democrat VA Sen. TIM KAINE just publicly came out in support of the bill. Enough Dems support it to pass. https://x.com/i/status/1987674680895865329/video/1
No ACA subsidies, no funds for illegals, no protections against more recission cuts.
Time to END THIS PAIN AND SUFFERING! 🇺🇸

Bittersweet. Glad air traffic controllers and the like, productive society contributors, the military, etc, get their pay.
The rest of gov't can be shut down longer, and it would then be a good day.
Grim determination frens. We continue on.
No f ing money for NPR I hope
I am expecting drama from the democrats when this goes back to the house.
Oh, I'm sure they'll put up a fuss. But it's a.good reminder that this isn't a.done deal.yet and not to count your chickens before they hatch.
So they kept it shut down this long and got nothing from it.
I am telling probably evil won in this case. I don’t know what was the deal but it can’t be good.
Evil wins because they are not afraid to get their hands dirty.
It’s 59 to 40 right now.
Femocrats caved.
