It's not society's job to protect someone else's offspring. I didn't have it all figured out at 18 but I knew chopping off my genitals was a bad idea. If someone's kid isn't ready to make adult decisions at 18 it's not my responsibility to coddle them. If your adult child changes their gender, oh well, those terrible parents don't deserve grandchildren and that family line should probably end.
