Food vs Poison - A comprehensive explanation of why seed oils are bad and how they damage our bodies
I've often read that they're bad. But I hadn't come across good explanations to share. This article covers it well. Hope it helps some people.

Just look at Vegans. ALL physically and mentally ill. The ones that claim they aren't are lying. Veganism is a psychiatric aberration.
Yeah, the 'raw food' vegans are skinny and undernourished. The ones that eat cooked, especially the fake meat substitutes, get plenty of energy but tend towards obesity after a few years.
Those 'meat substitutes' are utter unadulterated Frankenfood SWILL, turning their brains into goodness knows what. And I've yet to have an explanation from a Vegan as to why they would want a 'meat substitute' product when the very basis of their ideology is not wanting to eat anything that resembles animal produce. It just sums up their mentality, being 'against' something 'establishment' ie the meat and dairy industry, but at the same time lapping up establishment CRAP, the complete chemical sewage packaged up and shoved in their stupid undiscerning faces, using up 'green' resources to produce and put on the shelves when they could just stick to what they preach ie eating just normal fucking vegetables.
It is a strange mental disconnect.
I sometimes point out studies showing that plants react to pain just like animals, but that doesn't move the needle either.
Eat lean meat, fish, chicken, black beans, cabbage (intestinal cleaning), and a few eggs (I have my 2 on Sunday after church)....down to 180-185 AND NO SWEETS!!!!
Organ meats!!!
Ancestral beef! Gots all the organ meets included. We be thrivin' on it. Get mine from Merriweather farms.
Your brain is 80% cholesterol. When on those diets long term, those guys get really screwy. I have a brother who is proud of his Chips diet and he's gotten weird. It's a type of malnutrition.
S There are studies on lack of vitamin B12 causing mental health issues
Seed oils contain phytoESTROGENS, like genestein and diadzein. There's a reason they're adding soybeans and flaxseeds to EVERYTHING and it has as much to do with the TRANSGENDER agenda as it does with making people fat lazy and sick.

Yeah, this article doesn't touch on that part.

Thanks. Hadn't seen that, although it's referenced in this article.
I had a bowl of stewed pork roast for breakfast + FAT!!! YeeHaw! EVOO always for gentle cooking. Black olives as a side. Avocado with sliced raw garlic. NO BREAD. No biofuckery.
Power breakfast!
(Raw garlic, though? I'm not ready for that part...)
Boost original for me. lol
It was never the Mediterranean diet. It was because they didn’t screw with nature.
Is avocado oil considered a seed oil?
No, it's extracted from the fruit not the seed. According to this article, it would be among the less harmful of vegetable oils.
Thanks!
Avocado, olive & coconut oils are from the fruit not the seeds. Double check the avocado and olive oil brands. Especially olive, most is a blend with canola oil. Tallow, butter and ghee are good as well. I’m not convinced most butter in the grocery store is 100% butter. I mainly eat butter & might try ghee. My daughter fried French fries in ghee & they were the best I’ve ever had. I don’t usually eat potatoes, it was a treat for me.
Thank you for this article. Eye opening.
Welcome, fren. WWG1WGA.
I love this substack. Sooooooo much amazing health conspiracies and theories that they debunk or prove. I really liked the pregnancy series too, very helpful for anyone expecting or traumatized from delivery.
What about eating too many nuts? My daughter and husband both rapidly gained weight this fall … eating natural peanut butter and pistachios as healthy snacks. Based on this article, possibly too many nuts turned them into hibernating squirrels?
We’ve all been trying to eat healthy. It’s going to be a bummer if they have to cut out nuts too!
Nuts healthy 🤔 I struggle to maintain / gain weight. Guess what I was told to eat plenty of .....
Maybe. The article is mostly about linoleic acid from vegetable oils, and linoleic acid as a percentage of total calories ingested. Peanut oil is better than a lot of vegetable oils, especially canola or corn or Crisco that he lists in his post.
But a high carb diet causes weight gain independently of the oils being toxic, and peanuts are definitely a high-carb food. The more a person depends on carbs (as opposed to fat) for energy, the more the body will be fueled by glucose instead of fats. Which leads to weight gain --- not because the mitochondria is damaged by linoleic acid --- but rather because the body reduces mitochondria to compensate for the short-term high-energy impact of glucose. That process is much slower than the damage caused by the seed oils he's talking about, but over time can still cause many of the same issues.
I love PB smoothies myself, but gave them up to adopt a meat-only diet. It's done me a lot of good.
Good information! My daughter is a water polo athlete and ended up getting hurt weight training .. used to burning thousands of calories a day, to full stop. I’ve been trying to help her navigate the whole situation.
Most peanut butter has seed oils. The “healthy” pb doesn’t have anything other than maybe salt. You gotta really love peanuts to like it. I think it depends on the nut. Check the carbohydrate and oxalate amounts in nuts. Peanuts are very high in both. I just learned about oxalates in the past years. They cause inflammation. Just like everything you have to figure out what’s best for you. Also many nuts are sprayed heavily and that’s a concern. So many foods have been marketed as healthy just for profit. All nut milk is not healthy, full of sugar.
Yes, it’s just peanuts and salt. Though, now we maybe need to re-evaluate.
Please understand my opinions are probably not like most people’s. I have mostly eaten strict carnivore for two years. I still occasionally eat foods I know aren’t healthy for me. I know it’s stupid, I’m trying to concur my food “demons” desires. I’ve researched the “right & healthy” foods we should eat since 2013. There are so many lies about what’s healthy and bad. If you are researching and find articles on major news, magazines, gov & medical sites it’s highly possible you are reading what the food industry paid for. I remember way back years ago peanut butter was ho healthy and I believed everything they said. I live where peanuts is a major crop, I’ve eaten peanuts most of my life. Heck before Christmas I fried peanuts for family. At least they were fried in tallow. I used to eat nuts all the time. It’s funny I don’t miss eating nuts and many other foods. My personal opinion if nuts or any real non processed foods doesn’t bother you eat it but don’t make a meal out of it. It’s ironic pistachios have heart healthy on the bag. It makes me wonder if they aren’t. We know they don’t want us healthy. Yet, you won’t see anything about an egg or beef being healthy. I listen to a lot of pro carnivore and keto doctors so I could be biased towards plants. After two years I know there’s many foods I can’t eat. I either itch, get a rash or stomach ache. To your question are nuts healthy? It’s hard to find a definitive answer because every expert is going to give a different opinion.
Good luck on re-evaluating. Making food changes isn’t easy but it’s so worth it. Especially if you have food intolerances or health conditions that are aggravated by certain foods. Years ago I never would have believed I’d burger (beef) daily. If we travel and aren’t 100% carnivore in two days we are missing it. When I get to goal weight I’d like to add back some non animal foods.
It’s really frustrating! I have multiple food allergies, including nuts, so have been avoiding those for years. I just thought “wow” after reading the article and thinking about my husband and daughter. Thank you for sharing your experiences!
Your welcome and blessings to you.
You ever follow this guy? https://darkovelcek.wordpress.com/introduction/
Even among carnivore types, he's a bit different. Has a lot to contribute regarding things like food intolerance, itches, allergies, etc and healing in general. Although his blog is all nutrition, he comes to it through a healing perspective. I've improved a lot through his guidance. Probably not much different than what you're doing already, but may have some good points you haven't seen yet, especially about salt and hydration. FWIW.
Thanks for sharing. It looks familiar, possibly saw it long ago. I’ll check it out. Congrats on improvement. I most definitely need better hydration. I only drink water and Perrier. My skin looks like I’m 80. It’s probably hormones. (Not sure if you have heard this. The 8 glasses of water a day rule was started when they put fluoride in the water. I’ve seen several doctors say you should only drink when thirty. If you do 8 or excess water you will flush out of your kidneys, the nutrients.)This is one of the easiest and hardest things I’ve ever done. I know I’m allergic to something in processed foods. My husband’s hands start itching immediately and if he eats off plan too long he gets a rash. Had that rash for years and dermatologist didn’t have a clue. I keep telling him he was allergic to something in food. My bil did carnivore last year and once he lost weight went off. He had a rash for a while & it went away during carnivore. Came back as soon as he stopped. A couple weeks before Christmas I got a rash all over my arms and shoulders. No clue what it was because I was eating anything. I’ve had a bug or something a couple days with stomach issues. Only thing I could eat was Hawaiian rolls and club crackers. I started itching. I’ve had an itching condition dermagraphism since I was 9. Similar to the hives. Supposedly from scabies. I think it’s food. I take Attarax for it. St John’s wort kept it at bay. I stopped all herbs before starting carnivore. I’m adding back now. I think the itching, rashes & other problems like gut, ibs, skin issues is from seed oils & possibly what’s sprayed on food. Let’s be honest we don’t know what’s in anything we buy. Even if ingredients are listed we don’t know if it’s truth. I’m starting over this week with only butter, beef & salt. After a couple months I’ll ad back one food at a time. I’m watching no carb life account on YouTube. It’s interviews of people’s stories eating carnivore. I’m amazed at the diseases they have cured by not eating any carbs. I’m my own worst enemy. I have taken cheat meals & sweats this whole time. My husband asked me tonight if I wanted to eat out. The only option in our town is Mexican and chain restaurants. I can eat Mexican with out issues. I don’t get fried food. I said yes because I knew I wouldn’t be eating out for a while. It’s going to a struggle but worth it. From Thanksgiving to Christmas I ate beef every day and any sweets I wanted. I didn’t gain weight because I was mainly eating beef. But my jeans are tight. They were loose before Thanksgiving. I guess it’s inflammation. Thanks again.
More than welcome. I first started after I got hives (which hadn't ever been a problem for me before), and I assumed it was the "Herxheimer reaction," which is theoretically a die-off of harmful bacteria/parasites/pathogens and their elimination through the skin. Believing that to be the case, I figured I had a lot to eliminate and to ease the symptoms I should encourage elimination through the gut so the bad stuff could be offloaded without messing up my skin and making me feel miserable. And in that state of mind I was referred to Darko Velcek. And long story short, it worked. Some diuretic episodes later, no more hives, and a better understanding of the symptoms. Although this guy is definitely a bit unconventional, I've validated his health advice many times now, as I've been on his no-carb protocol for almost 2 years (except for a 3-month period in the middle when I tried out a different life-hack). He's also an unashamed Q supporter, far-out conspiracy theorist, and tells people that medbeds are coming but he doesn't know the timing, and that his protocol will help right now. And he doesn't sell anything, except his books.
Anyway, good luck. WWG1WGA.
That’s interesting. I’ve never heard of madness. Guess that’s my new rabbit hole. I’m glad you had success. Look into dandelion root for detox. Check the source, there’s a lot of herb products that are lower quality. I keep several detox teas in case I get sick. Used to drink several cups of tea daily, didn’t kinds. Green tea tastes like grass. I’m so sad. It was my favorite. According to Dr Anthony Chaffee, your body built us a defense against plants. When you stop eating plants and ad them back, if you have a reaction or it tastes bad, your body is no longer building a defense against it. I watch his Q&A and this was a question. Of course everyone isn’t allergic to all plants. I’m being to think I am. Same to you, good luck. That’s right, WWG1WGA
