I don't know how much I buy into it being an indoctrination center at university level. When I was in college -- they tried pushing a lot of liberal stuff in our classes. For the most part we gave the professors what they wanted on paper and believed what we wanted in private.
But we were a different generation and our formative years were all conservative values. So I'm pretty sure they can't brainwash anyone who has a solid foundation in their formative years.
If they clean out universities -- they'll have to start with education majors because there is where the commies flourish. I have always been of the opinion that professional competency should be the basis for hiring teachers rather than a education degree. That is the only way to avoid the crazies that have been indoctrinated into communism through the education departments in universities.
I tried university three separate times in my life. Once, in 1994 after I graduated H.S., once again in 2009/10, and again in 2015. Each time it was loads worse than the last. The indoctrination started first only in the "Humanities" and "Social Sciences" Depts. By the time I went the 2nd time, it had infiltrated the Math and Sciences Depts and had started creeping into fraternities and sororities. By the third time, it was in every aspect of college life. Literally every class I took had some form of ultra liberal based indoctrination encoded into the curriculum. And it had filtered down to the public school system by the time my oldest two children reached 4-6th grades, roughly around 07-08. By the time my 2nd son reached H.S., we were having nightly heated discussions at dinner about what he and my oldest son were learning. I fought hard to deprogram the both of them. My younger two sons, and eventually my daughter benefited from these just being there and listening to these discussions, but it was a hard fought battle to deprogram the older two, along with my cousin's oldest daughter. We almost lost her to the programming. It was a brutal fight for her mind, but eventually was somewhat successful. My sons and I still have work to do to undo the programming with her, but we gain a little more ground each time we see her. My kids are super based now, though. To the point where they sometimes see things quicker and easier than I do. Especially my daughter.
Now, it's filtered down to the pre-K and pre-school/daycare levels. I've had to continue the fight with my best friend's kids to help ensure her kids don't end up like the majority of America's Youth. If more of us did the work my kids and I do, we'd already be in a much better place than we are. It's better than it was in 2015/16, but there's still a ton of work to do to unravel all the programming.

That’s what I did but I projected too much of myself onto some of my peers and found out later that they weren’t just paying lip service and that they actually absorbed the commie bullshit. Or else that they made the cold, callous calculation to appear commie in their private lives in exchange for perceived social status.
It was probably easier for my generation. I began college in the early 70's and the indoctrination was just beginning to rear its ugly head.
Very few people I knew actually took any of the propaganda seriously -- but to preserve our GPA's we never let our professors know we weren't really buying into it. People who were pre-med, pre-law, pre-vet, and pre-dent became very proficient liars. Nobody blamed them. Their future was at stake and if pretending to buy into it got them an A -- more power to them.
For a 7-year period, I worked as a technical editor for a large Southern research university, and I remember thinking even back then that American academia was corrupted and doomed to fail eventually. It looks like I may have been right.
Odd that this article doesn't mention the college cliff as a contributing factor. Colleges, themselves, know about it, and I'm sure most all have been working plans to mitigate the lower number of students available due to a decrease in birth rates as a result of the 2008 recession.
Now, why would the media not want to draw our attention to the decline in population? It's not like it's part of some nefarious agenda or anything.
TEACH SHIT, and eventually everyone will WAKE up to the FACT that they can LEARN more from the internet in 5 minutes than in a OVERPRICED LEFTIST CABAL controlled College in .....
Gee, where will all the low-life, commie grifting professors go for their next scam? God knows they are totally unqualified to do anything useful for society. Totally brainwashed and untrainable because they think they know it all, already. If they show up on the frontlines of demonstrations with their uneducated students, perhaps the whole lot of them should be the first to populate a new "workers paradise" in the tundra of northern Greenland. There they can print MAGA bumper stickers every day. Their output will determine that day's amount of caloric intake up to a max of 2000 if they stay on task without talking for 18 hours. Transgressions reduce calories.
They should love it there. This is the perfect place to practice Communism aka the Soviet Union archipelago of the 1950's.
Promises, promises...
They FA
If the universities would stop price gouging then this problem wouldn't exist. They will reap the results of their own greed.
And if they stopped being indoctrination centers too

That is the nature of indoctrination.

Great insight, fren. Keep up the good fight!
Brutal. The worst thing is that they hire Indians from foreign countries that don't have to take that crap.

100% $50,000 for a degree is outrageous.
Make Trade Schools Predominant Again
No great loss, they’re not educating anyone, only indoctrination and cashing checks.
Sounds like another win to me.
Rookie numbers.
The Pro-Israel lobby will shamelessly sue them all out of their Rich Endowments. Then leave them ruined and ready for the scrap heap.
Good! That's what needs to happen.

Very good point. That is as big a factor as young people not wanting to waste time and money on worthless degrees.

Best news ever.
SO MUCH WINNING!!!
So…College shuts down and their Foundation dollars go where?
Half the stuff they teach is worthless.
If I had it to do over again, I would home school my kids, and if they wanted to go to college, it would be Hillsdale or nothing.
Same here!

75% short of the number that needs shuttering.
Good, there is no friggen need for them. Unless it is the sciences or engineering, most of the liberal arts or sociology degrees are useless!
Hope its the Jesuit controlled & run universities
