Signal groups at 1,000-member cap per zone. Dedicated roles: mobile chasers, plate checkers logging vehicle data into shared databases, 24/7 dispatch nodes vectoring assets, SALUTE-style reporting (Size, Activity, Location, Unit, Time, Equipment) on suspected federal vehicles. Daily chat rotations and timed deletions to frustrate forensic recovery. Vetting processes for new joiners. Mutual aid from sympathetic locals (teachers providing cover, possible PD tip-offs on license plate lookups). Home-base coordination points. Rapid escalation from observation to physical obstruction—or worse.
This isn’t spontaneous outrage. This is C2 (command and control) with redundancy, OPSEC hygiene, and task organization that would make a SF team sergeant nod in recognition. Replace “ICE agents” with “occupying coalition forces” and the structure maps almost 1:1 to early-stage urban cells we hunted in the mid-2000s.
The most sobering part? It’s domestic. Funded, trained (somewhere), and directed by people who live in the same country they’re trying to paralyze law enforcement in. Anyone can go to a library and check out any number of books on the subjects of insurgencies, protests, armed resistance, etc. Hell, you don't even need to go to a library any longer. Anyone who reads history writings can come up with any number of plans to overthrow any govt. And it shouldn't take former SF guys to explain it, either.
This is why govts and their controllers work so hard and expend so much resources in keeping the public distracted and divided.
I'm sure POTUS 45/47 has had briefings on the patterns we see just on the TV and social media posts. Imagine the Intel he's receiving from his advisors. We saw exactly this in 2003. Those of us on the ground repeatedly warned senior leadership: "This is an insurgency." Instead, the official line was "disorganized remnants of Saddam's regime". No C2, no funding, no real intel capability. It took until 2006, after multiple casualties for them to admit what we already knew. Calling it an insurgency earlier would have forced a mission pivot, resource surge, and doctrinal shift long before the enemy consolidated. Delaying the label let the problem metastasize.
To your question: Yes, I believe senior DOJ leaders already recognize this for what it is: a low-level, distributed insurgency infrastructure operating domestically against federal authority. They refuse to say it publicly (or act decisively) either due to personal/political preferences, pressure from higher national command authority, or a calculated decision to let it develop to the point that it absolutely can no longer be ignored.
