Oh man - I hated SXSW time when I lived there and traveled every week. On the occasions where first class was full so I didn't get upgraded, it was impossible to find any overhead room. All of it was filled with guitars and other instruments. A lot of music producers and record execs bought up all the first class so I never (as an AA Executive Platinum) even stood a chance for the upgrade I got every other week I traveled. I learned to not schedule during that time.
Same for when I was in San Diego weekly and Comic-con came around. Flights and hotels were at a $eriou$ premium - if you could even find one. I stayed in Texas and worked from home during that time.
All dems are against this so you can lay blame there, but actually you can blame republicans too since they won't abolish the filibuster "rule". They purposefully handicap themselves even though they have the power to change it. It's uniparty BS at play here, just like with passing the SAVE act.
Are these people supposed to be catching flights? I hope the scheduled departure time is tomorrow. They MAY make it.
They should temporarily go back to the old way,of just having people walk thru a metal detector. Drop the stupid shit like taking your shoes off.
Shut down the TSA.
This. For so many reasons.
Thank you, Barry!
Thank you, Joe!
They will get retroactive pay, they aren't working for free
Last time Trump gave all the tsa employees $10,000 each, plus they got their back pay. Though I haven't heard him say he would do it again this time.
Why is this happening with just a few, and not more of others? Sean Duffy is a wise choice being Trump's Secretary of Transportation.
Because 300,000 people are arriving in Austin (town of 1,000,000) for SXSW.
The democrats are heap big scared of this. They are trying to get the Republicans to pass a TSA only funding bill.
I was just there Wednesday, crazy line but still only about 30 minutes to get through. It's not related to tsa its south by southwest conference time.
I think the Austin rodeo starts next week also.

Will they also get the bonus for showing up? Paid for by us!
I haven't heard anything about it yet.
Can we just get rid of the TSA altogether? They said 300 of them quit so far because of this. Good, make them all quit.
I, personally, think everyone at tsa should quit. What do they do-beside make us show up 2 hours early-extending our travel time.
Lib TSA agents won't work
The sad thing is these stupid fucks are going to blame republicans.

Oh I 100% know. But just like with COVID, the retarded voting populace blamed Trump for the shutdowns.
TSA is either working or they're not.
Do the job or fk off way the F over there so we can get shit done.
It's not like you aholes stopped anything for the past 25 years except Grandma with a pacemaker in a fking wheelchair.
We, The People want TSA to phuck off back to Y2k & stay there.

This worked for them the last time, so expect it everytime if it continues to work.
