Do not open the strait to Iranian exports without complete and total surrender. They must turn over all the yellow cake and agree to never threaten to blow up ships in the strait again. But since the Muslims are allowed to lie, the second requirement isn't worth the paper it would be written on.

Occurred to me too.
I wonder how much of their "concern" is tied to them running out of places to put the oil?
No Strait = no off-loading, no new barrels, no relief of production stacking up AND without that....
It ultimately means they're going to have to shut down/cap what was a VERY productive oil well... and THEN - because pumping stopped, the vacuum causes ground water to rush in, turning the oil into a contaminated milkshake that cannot be undone...
So that well's capacity (several wells actually) are GREATLY reduced - TOTALLY cornholing "shareholders" right where it hurts the most - their wallets!!!

It wouldn't surprise me a bit if Iran decided to start pumping oil into the strait to save their wells. They did bomb refineries in the Gulf countries so they have no qualms with oil spills.

Now this sounds like a good idea. We don't want to ruin the wells as the people of Iran would like to keep their economy running, but until Iran surrenders we (the US) should take all their oil.
Let them resolve their government issues, or they will start destroying our missles with their infrastructure and oil production facilities.

The pessimist in me is thinking that this will just lead to another ceasefire that'll be broken again in mere minutes, but we'll see.
We'll re-open the Strait of Hormuz AND allow Iran to load oil onto ships... but Iran needs to pay for the damage their missiles and drones caused to Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman and Kuwait. All oil sales $$$ will be used to pay for the damage before Iran will be allowed to profit from selling any more oil. :>)
If they aren't interested in a quick deal they can continue to lose 500 million a day in the meantime
