For me, the biggest red flag when it came to ivermectin, was the massive pushback despite how safe it is. It is literally safer than baby Tylenol. So what was the point in preventing anyone from even trying? or banning pharmacies from filling prescriptions? If what they said was true, then the absolute worst it would do.. is nothing. (And even probably better than nothing, because the placebo effect is real). It would be like saying drinking Mt. Dew cures cancer or covid, and because there is no evidence for it, they ban Mt. Dew
