HOA is advised that Federal laws protect my right to display the flag on my property. There will be a massive lawsuit if they violate Federal Law by ordering it's removal.

They visited every house in the neighborhood to generate support and explain issues. After the vote the incumbent told them they lost. He did not tell them the vote count or allow them to view any ballots.im sure it was all legit.
I lived in a townhouse neighborhood of about 50 owners for about 20 years. Not long after I moved there the President and Vice-president of the HOA moved away (I think to FL). They were a lesbian couple, and interestingly enough, nobody knew the financial status of the HOA. A few years later, a new Board of Directors was in charge when some questionable financial actions occurred. One involved the President having a really nice fence built in her back yard by the same company that constructed a mostly useless, crappy, fence on the common area of the property. The suspicion was that she got a sweetheart deal for her fence in exchange for having the company build the crappy fence. Because of this issue, and others, I ran for President of the HOA and won. One major change we made to the bylaws was that ANY project estimated to cost over $1,000 had to have at least three bids, and unless there was a very good reason not to go with the lowest bid, the lowest bid would be accepted. This helped to prevent the abuse of the funds. One scam that I think is widespread is when a HOA hires a private management firm. I believe the firms have all kinds of sweetheart deals with contractors so they can share in the over-charging for various jobs done for the HOA. I believe this scam is especially widespread when it involves condominiums, where all kinds of "improvements" and "necessary repairs" are done. This is based on what I have seen with my mothers condominium association down in Florida. I will never live in a place with an HOA again because of what I have witnessed and experienced.

I'm doubting this is real because HOAs generally check with their lawyers before making proclamations regarding rules and restrictions. If it is real maybe their lawyer is another dumb arse demonrat who feels they can do whatever they please. If real, patriot residents ought to sue the snot out of them - HOA losers and their lawyers - for "trauma", etc. They understand financial pain.
