The only way you ever get rid of muslims from a piece of land is by slaughtering them. It is literally the only language they understand: unspeakably violent cruelty.

In other news, Vlad the Impaler is heralded to this day in Romania as savior of the country.

Frens, what we are seeing is the result of the characteristic conservative ass-sitting posture of letting the Other Guy run for office: "Let the Other Guy run for school board. Or city council. Or state office. Or mayor. I'm happy with my life and do not want to mess with boring, tiresome, complicated politics." Well, the boring, tiresome, complicated politics is coming your way to mess with You. So happy that your sense of public virtue was concentrated in your ass.

I have been a conservative practically from birth. I have seen good conservatives rally for office many times. But they commonly fail...because they are not supported by the people who don't like the Democrats enough to Get Up Off Their Asses. How many people deplore what is going on in the schools? How many of them show up at school boards or run for those positions? There is voting with your feet...and voting with your seat.

Color me grumpy. I've seen so much of this. (And, for reference, my investment in public virtue was to campaign for several years and several thousand dollars to gain office with a team and overthrow a tyrannical union leadership. There were personal costs as well.)

It's not just that its boring, tiresome, complicated politics, you have some conservatives so adamant about freedom and choice that they're willing to accept anyone running for office and expect people to make the right choice (no pun intended).

Wow. I haven't run into them (thank God). Add foolishness to the sin of laziness. At least the lazy are deterred by actual work, but the foolish are deterred from thought.

I hate to say it, but that addition makes the scenario even worse, in my view.

Yeah, they literally say, "We shouldn't ban political parties/idelogies; if that's what the people vote for, that's what they get, for better or worse."

Like no? A party or belief system that is the antithesis of the very soul of this country and its intent in its founding should definitely be banned and never have a platform.

We do have more in play than that. I’ve seen people run for office, to be met by a made man who knew that 1. He was NOT going to lose no matter what 2. the exact metrics where he could very literally turn to face the other guy, say “election’s over” and nonchalantly go home because he just finished the project for his paycheck; or against someone who could tell him directly, “I don’t know why you’re in this race, I’m going to spend you out of it, you’re wasting our time.”

Our voting system IS rigged.

The same way that Trump couldn’t fire, appoint, or direct people at the presidential level, we have the same problem in local elected offices! There are unelected “civil service” equivalents operating locally!!

All that said, you’re most certainly not wrong. It’s just a good question how we can do anything about those issues.

I actually disagree with you. My fren. I don't think we are lazy, because we don't want to mess with tiresome and complicated politics.

You know how many people don't want to go into politic because it's dirty and corrupt and he/she they don't want to be dealing with those demons especially if you are Christians. You want to stay away from sinful places like DC. Plus, churches have traditionally discouraged people going into politics, right?

Well, result in this. You understand that in the Bible, many great people are in politics. Daniel is one. David and Nehemiah. There's others. We need to encourage Christians going into politics.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– killerspacerobot 2 points 1 day ago +2 / -0

Why would I disagree with that? My other complaint is that talk of "the Church militant" is mostly fantasizing. I observe "the Church complacent": Christians being too sanctimonious to get their hands dirty. "Leave the dirty work to God, and the breathing of holiness to us." Meanwhile, they are completely puzzled when their teenagers go off to college, armed only with hymns, to be demolished by atheists. Secularism (atheism in drag) is every bit a danger as Islam, but we are even more blinded to it.

But I have experienced mainly those who make no Christian objections, just objections of personal inconvenience.

Imagine it's 25 years ago and someone says "Socialists and muslims will be winning all the political races in 25 years, after businessman Donald Trump has become president and restored America's economic and cultural greatness. In the middle of a renaissance of manufacturing and technological growth, a socialist muslim will be mayor of NYC, where the towers just fell."

What to Expect: The Effect Of Muslim Population Growth on a Society

What happens to society's as the Muslim population grows in percentage of the total?

In the book, Slavery, Terrorism and Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat, written by Dr. Peter Hammond, he explores the topic of the impact that an increasing Muslim population has on that society. The lists below illustrate the Muslim population status of countries around the world, and exactly what changes to the societies can be expected according to Hammond.

The book as well as the author are controversial, but the topic is definitely something that needs to be explored and understood. From the book:
As long as the Muslim population remains around or under 2% in any given country, they will be for the most part be regarded as a peace-loving minority, and not as a threat to other citizens. This is the case in: United States — Muslim 0.6% Australia — Muslim 1.5% Canada — Muslim 1.9% China — Muslim 1.8% Italy — Muslim 1.5% Norway — Muslim 1.8%

At 2% to 5%, they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups, often with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs.
This is happening in: Denmark — Muslim 2% Germany — Muslim 3.7% United Kingdom — Muslim 2.7% Spain — Muslim 4% Thailand — Muslim 4.6%

From 5% on, they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. For example, they will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature halal on their shelves — along with threats for failure to comply. This is occurring in: France — Muslim 8% Philippines — 5% Sweden — Muslim 5% Switzerland — Muslim 4.3% The Netherlands — Muslim 5.5% Trinidad & Tobago — Muslim 5.8%

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves (within their ghettos) under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islamists is to establish Sharia law over the entire world.

When Muslims approach 10% of the population, they tend to increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. In Paris, we are already seeing car burnings. Any non-Muslim action offends Islam, and results in uprisings and threats, such as in Amsterdam, with opposition to Mohammed cartoons and films about Islam. Such tensions are seen daily, particularly in Muslim sections, in: Guyana — Muslim 10% India — Muslim 13.4% Israel — Muslim 16% Kenya — Muslim 10% Russia — Muslim 15%

After reaching 20%, nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings, and the burnings of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues, such as in: Ethiopia — Muslim 32.8% At 40%, nations experience widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks, and ongoing militia warfare, such as in: Bosnia — Muslim 40% Chad — Muslim 53.1% Lebanon — Muslim 59.7%

From 60%, nations experience unfettered persecution of non-believers of all other religions (including non-conforming Muslims), sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia law as a weapon, and jizya, the tax placed on infidels, such as in: Albania — Muslim 70% Malaysia — Muslim 60.4% Qatar — Muslim 77.5% Sudan — Muslim 70%

After 80%, expect daily intimidation and violent jihad, some state-run ethnic cleansing, and even some genocide, as these nations drive out the infidels, and move toward 100% Muslim, such as has been experienced and in some ways is on-going in: Bangladesh — Muslim 83% Egypt — Muslim 90% Gaza — Muslim 98.7% Indonesia — Muslim 86.1% Iran — Muslim 98% Iraq — Muslim 97% Jordan — Muslim 92% Morocco — Muslim 98.7% Pakistan — Muslim 97% Palestine — Muslim 99% Syria — Muslim 90% Tajikistan — Muslim 90% Turkey — Muslim 99.8% United Arab Emirates — Muslim 96%

100% will usher in the peace of ‘Dar-es-Salaam’ — the Islamic House of Peace. Here there’s supposed to be peace, because everybody is a Muslim, the Madrasses are the only schools, and the Koran is the only word, such as in: Afghanistan — Muslim 100% Saudi Arabia — Muslim 100% Somalia — Muslim 100% Yemen — Muslim 100%

Unfortunately, peace is never achieved, as in these 100% states the most radical Muslims intimidate and spew hatred, and satisfy their blood lust by killing less radical Muslims, for a variety of reasons. Map courtesy of PBS. …original article…

Muslims are already ineligible to run for any office that requires an oath of loyalty to the Constitution if they support Sharia Law. Sharia Law is 100% incompatible with the Constitution, so a true Muslim cannot take the Oath of Office. Same with Communists since communism is also 100% incompatible with the Constitution.

As long as we uphold the Establishment Clause in the Constitution, we won't have Sharia Law being enforced on the public. It prevents the government from giving favor to ANY particular religion.

And because I know how these conversations usually go, I'm going to try to head off the typical arguments I usually see with this.

  1. The Establishment Clause (if you don't know what this is, please go do some research on it) encompasses ALL religions, not just Christianity.

  2. Yes, Islam IS classified as a religion by the US government, and as such is governed by the same 1st Amendment rules as Christianity and all other religions officially recognized by the US government fall under. I'm familiar with the "It's not a religion, it's a social construct/death cult/etc" arguments. The US government officially recognizes it as a religion, and they're they ones that make/enforce the laws, so....

  3. I think people get confused by the word "law" in Sharia Law and thinks it's something that's actually enforceable by our legal system. It's not. It's a set of social and religious constructs that have been adopted by and large by Islam, based on both the Quran and their traditions. And it's widely debated what is and is not involved. It's not like there's some official document that's been agreed upon by all Muslims that this is what Sharia Law is. To give the best analogy I can, it's kind of like "Biblical Law". As Christians, we don't have one concrete set of laws that form "Biblical Law", but it's part of the collective unconcious that's generally part of Christianity. It's obviously hugely open to interpretation, and there's a lot of argument among Christians on what the Bible says to do in various scenarios. The 10 Commandments is a good example. They're the closest we have in the Bible of a clear set of rules that Christians are supposed to live by. But we're not throwing Christians in jail for things lile not honoring their parents, or envying others. (It's also why we so often hear someone saying "They're not a TRUE Christian, because of <insert reason here>." Everyone has their own ideas of what "true christianity" is.

This is one of the reasons I spend so much time and energy defending the Establishment Clause. People think having laws and the government being in favor of promoting religion is super awesome when THEIR religion is the one being promoted. And since Christianity has historically been the dominant religion in the US, naturally it was the religion that has historically been promoted by the government.

But every year, Christianity is losing it's ranking as the dominant religion, as noted in the OP here. Once we lose the majority advantage, it becomes much easier for non-Christian religions to gain the advantages we once had from being the majority.

But if we support the Establishment Clause NOW, and make it stronger, the more protection we will have in the future against ANY other religon being promoted/enforced by the government.

It's why I think so many Christians are short sighted when it comes to trying to abolish it. We're just setting ourselves up for the tables to turn on us in the future.

Yeah, it's all great to have the governmemt support/give precedence to religion when it's OUR religion that's domimant and being supported. But the world evolves, and it's pretty obvious that our days of Christianity being the majority religion in the US is numbered. I'm not happy about it, so realize that me pointing out reality isn't the same as being supportive of it.

Like saying that Muslims in office are violating the US Constitution and getting away with it and enforcing their rules with guns.

And the comment about "opening my eyes" is just funny when you consider that I'm a hawk when it comes to violations of the Estsblishment Clause (by ANYONE) and I actively look for violations of it.

So, unless you can give me actual examples of when any of what you're saying has occured, I'm going to have to just add you to the "knee jerk hysterical" pile.

Sorry you are so emotional and that you have missed my point. Which is that it does not matter what the constitution says or what the "establishment clause" says. When enough of them are elected into office they are allowed to change the rules/law/constitution. And is it not true that the military and police are sworn to defend those rules/law/constitution even though they are repugnant to our freedoms?
