I'd imagine he's going to be opting for his private security from here on out.

Yeah, but would your front hole need dilating to not be causing issues to throw off your shot? I suspect that was this guy's problem.

To be fair, there were 4 roofs with line of sight to where he was standing. Our government, being the small underfunded thing that it is, probably couldn't spare a few guys to go check them.

I'm glad somebody is pointing that out. That person was a human with no lesser value than any of us. Hell, it could have BEEN one of us. Like an actual user of this site.

Apparently MTG said one was hit fatally.

While it’s good that Elon supports him, I don’t like this mega donor thing. A good percentage of the Everyman’s appeal to Trump is that he can’t be bought.

While I’m not saying this is buying him, it’s the PERCEPTION that the MSM is going to try to drill into everyone’s heads.

This is just a time that they were caught. This sort of stuff has happened long before this instance and will continue long after.

Nobody ever really gets punished for it. Especially since the ones responsible for the punishment are often the ones pushing it as well.

It would warm my heart if someone started up a Minecraft server, put an Antifa skin on their character, and dropped some incendiaries into ballot drop boxes in a 1:1 scale version of Wisconsin on their world.

Not in real life. I’m sure our elections are safe, legitimate, and secure.

This guy and his brother are examples of when Obama purged decent officers are only promoted the ones that were down with their agenda. There was a genuinely palpable shift in the military and it truly sucked.

If having a debilitating neurological disorder didn’t run me out in 2014, I probably would have left soon after, anyway. I did 16 years, and it became impossible for me, a generic, heterosexual white guy to push forward in my field that I absolutely loved (and still kinda miss).

You’re right, but for that, the worst they can get is fired. NOT held legally responsible.

That was decided in Warren v D.C.

And the Uvalde shit birds are gonna walk just the same, because of it.

But somehow they’re also not culpable for preventing parents from running in and protecting their children. Because reasons, I guess.

Sure, they’re TRAINED to do something about it. But they’re not obligated to. So the taxpayer pays out for all the expensive training in the hopes that the cops FEEL like stopping the threat. Legally, they can just say “Fuck dem kids” and there isn’t a damn thing you can do about it. But they can also arrest (or worse) you if you try to go do the job they won’t.

Yeah, but the problem is SCOTUS ruled that police have no duty to protect. Same thing the sheriff in south Florida was able to hide behind.

Though I hope this sets some kind of precedent that going forward, they can legally require it. Not sure what the mechanism for that would be.

I think they should have somebody check for masks. And earpieces. I think if he’s doped to the gills, fine, Trump will still run rings about him. But a stand-in? Trump would still beat him, but the American people deserve to know their president is a phony and can’t actually stand to debate anyone. And if that’s the case, what else is he incapable of?

And ACB, right?

Is it just me or does it feel like Trump got lured into picking Kav and ACB? They’ve been mostly useless.

If that doesn’t get them to REALLY fight him, nothing will.

AmazingFlightLizard 5 points ago +5 / -0

Yup. And I think the whole “That’s impossible. S/he already said s/he doesn’t want the job” is part of the plan. “See! Big Mike, our savior is stepping down from on high to protect us from a Trumpnazi administration! Aren’t we so lucky?!”

If they even show up, it’ll be more grandstanding and sound bites, and angles for donations or reelections, but nothing of substance will come of it.

Nobody actually does anything in this government unless it’s give away our money to foreign interests (with a nice kickback, of course) or otherwise eroding our rights further and further.

Because then they wouldn’t have much left to do. All they know how to do anymore is grandstand and harumph and do interviews. Maybe make demands of other people to do their jobs, while not doing their own. “Ooh but my hands are tied!” Or “I am busy campaigning right now, but if you reelect me, I’ll make sure I do my job THIS time.”

Outside of a handful of them, they’re almost all useless.

Sorry, I’m not gonna like him, even if he did say a based thing this one time.

Though iI think he’s on the right path to getting some of his flock back.
