I feel the exact same - milestone birthday coming up - live in Canada. I feel very disconnected to everyone as majority believe every last msm disinfo presented. The passport situation is surreal - I cannot join restaurant get togethers and collective hobbies. Strangely at the same time I do not want to either...we live indifferent worlds.
Regarding Canada and being passive - we are very tolerant and polite - we do not want to offend. Majority of people are either frightened to death of Covid or if not, going along out of respect for those that are frightened. Who wants to be labelled a covo idiot or a gramma killer. Everyone (almost) I know truly believes that taking the vaccine is “doing the right thing for the community” and vaccine passports will prevent spread and another lockdown. There is zero discussion regarding the matter - atleast that is what I find. It does vary by age group, but many liberal parents influence their kids. The only way this ends Is if there is “proof” that the vaccine has an alternative agenda and is not safe IMO.
From Toronto here - People are mostly quiet about the passport situation - Majority definitely support. Then you have the fringes were some vocally want more venues restricted and some against passports entirely. Our vaccination rate is very high.
My son is working in rural BC where many are against the passports.
As an aside - today on my fb community there was announced a death after a short illness and someone posting about an unexplained eye hemorrhage. I can’t help but think it is vaccine related.

Here in the province of Ontario Canada, the police very quickly drew lines what they were willing to support - During our third lock down the Premier ask the police to stop cars and pedestrians and check ID to make sure that we were not with anyone who was not in our household bubble. The police uniformly refused and posted formal statements saying that they will not comply. Very embarrassing for the Premier he he he We have just implemented the vaccine passport and mandatory job vaxx for some including police - police union against this mandate. Let’s hope when the mandates are turned on your police, they get some empathy! This is atrocious and pure evil

Yes - this is the part I have trouble with as well. People have revealed some very very ugly personality traits once hidden - they are the SS in the Nazi analogy. I totally agree - atleast here in Canada, the pro vaxx / passport people are not waking up , and because of passports, those reluctantly taking the jab are increasing as they feel they have no choice. I can ride this out much longer, but my son cannot.
Yup - desperation - I am in Ontario so maybe this just announced sooner for us... was wondering how the actual “end” will be since I am never taking the vaccine. But After freaking out I realized - I AM MISSING THE BIGGER PICTURE! This is necessary!! All the rot needs to be exposed! This is another layer - Will the company stand up for you and your personal choice? This was not the deal when they hired you! It will really show the master/slave relationship we have with our employer. Betrayal. They can dispose of us while ignoring all legal and civil rights we have. Female here... I think my husband is going to cave - His weakness is sports. Won’t be able to go and watch in person. This is a divine test to see what temptations can knock us off our path once we see the truth. If my husband caves I will see him as a weak person - not much of a man who stands up against the injustice that is happening as it took very little imo. Wow - that is a level of software sophistication I had not expected. So here in Ontario we are starting in a simple manner - just show status on phone or paper plus photo Id Check in is not tied to a location. Some businesses are planning to defy and not ask. By the looks of it, the Aussie software will make it harder not to comply. In Australian case,“they” can see that you are at a location through location tracking, and see if you have officially checked in! So, in theory, if you have not checked In and you are located there - lets say for 15 minutes or more, then enforcement can be sent right away. This is a truely scary !! Only option would be to not take your phone or shield from location tracking.
Unfortunately- here in Ontario the vaxx passport is being introduced. My feeling is that now they no longer need to badger - the government is forcing us with threat of segregation and job losses, so problem solved!! Government will strong arm us, so all is good. I have not heard if one single regret - well that is my circle anyways.
I wonder about the boosters - I imagine young people are against, but not so much the older crowd. I was standing in line at the grocery store and 2 older gentleman are having a conversation behind me... First one says “I can’t wait to get my 3rd shot” - “Same here” is the reply. But then one says “I sure which they could get to the bottom of how all this started”. LOL Also, the conditioning is that it is no different than getting the flu shot.
I agree with the friends part - very hurtful as it feels like a profound betrayal - were we ever really friends? Already spoke about multiple doses to maintain vaxx status and they are fully onboard. As my ex-best friend said - I will take everyone one of those shots if that’s what it takes to get out of this pandemic - it is our duty. There is no reasoning - everything is driven by emotion. This is the part I don’t understand - how can we ever heal from this? I guess I just need to be patient - I still believe this dark path will end - that is why I am here.

Who knows how the reporting on this will go - there was such an emphasis on pointing out that the unvaxxed are the ones in hospital, that I think the initial impression is what will stay with everyone - if things start to look really bad for the vaxxed they will either stop reporting stats on vaxxed vs unvaxxed OR they will start heavily promoting the 3rd dose. I feel like I am in a nightmare I cannot wake up from. Everything is becoming more and more surreal,,majority of people are moving around as if nothing unusual is happening - completely detached from the angst that those of us who are unvaxxed are feeling because of the passport and all the hate and loss of friends etc. It is as if 2 worlds/ timeliness are going on at once.

I remember at the beginning of the vaccine roll out Facebook had questionnaires such as “will you get to COVID-19 vaccine?” I had several arguments with people that this was a silly question because it will be mandatory! They were all insisting that no way will it be mandatory… Now it’s completely natural that it’s mandatory. Honestly want to escape to Florida for some normalcy- if only for a month or two.
