At first glance this doesn't look like the truck driver's doing, looks like protestors simply blocking a highway

You'd think their concern would lie with how he got past secret service?

anything can be in any file. the extension just tells an application how to read it. if you want people to watch a video, post it. dont offer it for download.

thats not a large enough hole for someone to go through. he was also nude, so there'd be blood everywhere

Yep. They were both holding hammers, outside of the home (why would Paul leave the safety of his home to confront an intruder outside of his home), and one of them was basically nude.

You have an incredibly flawed understanding of video games in general, especially minecraft. If not for minecraft, I would not be an engineer today.

Yes, they kill villagers and steal their items. Its a video game. This does not damage the kids psychologically.

What do they do after they do that? They go back to their base that they've built themselves from the ground up. They farm resources, get geared up and go down to the mines for an hour of hard labor digging up all the materials they need to build bigger and better gadgets, and progress through the technology tree by learning the games mechanics and 'rules' (the games physics). They tame a horse, load up a saddle bag, and go trek through kilometers of forest looking for a dungeon or a witch hut.

After all this, they decide to start playing around with redstone. Whats redstone, you might ask? It's electrical wires. Once they start playing with redstone, their minds are blown. Redstone is what made me start thinking like an engineer. Its basically electrical wiring - theres the capacity to make incredibly complex systems, anything ranging from a door that automatically opens all the way up to a computer. You can build a computer in minecraft

Obviously thats difficult, but in middle school I managed to figure it out enough, on my own (with a little help from youtube) to build a fucking calculator in minecraft. You could do addition, subtraction, and multiplication, all the way up to 2 digits (1-99). I built a display screen, that takes the redstone input and figures out what number to display based on the operation and the numbers that were inputted. The game is fucking incredible, and you need to let the kids be kids and give them free reign to explore in their virtual world.

I used my experiences with minecraft to get into the engineering academy in highschool, and now I'm a software developer and devops engineer.

The lasting effect on the kids is wonder, excitement, and inspiration, just to name a few.

locked as in no push access to the repository. obviously the devs have a local version of the code, but they cant make any changes to the source code while "locked"

It does not specify who would say it. Could be Trump, Biden, Musk, who knows.
