No, I'm explaining the big picture and the bigger process of pH balance in the body. There are different types and causes of acidosis and alkalosis, and the body has mechanisms to correct them. There are some cases in which the triggering condition cannot be eliminated or the body is unable to fully compensate and the acidosis or alkalosis becomes chronic.
The respiratory and metabolic systems are the systems that cause and compensate for the different types of acidosis and alkalosis. Acidosis and alkalosis created by the respiratory system are compensated by the metabolic system and vice versa.
I agree with much of this, but the DS doesn't need to arrest 80 million people. They just need to pick off a few, one by one, to intimidate the rest. This worked will in the Soviet Union. I think whatever scare event is coming, will need to be scarier than the IRS/FBI/DOJ.

The pH levels and balance mechanisms and electrical nature of cell activity are well understood. Although pH level contributes to cell potential and electrical activity via hydrogen ion exchange, disruption of electrolyte balance and shifting between intracellular and extracellular spaces actually determines cell potential.
So what is the argument from these people?

The normal pH range for blood is 7.35 to 7.45. Levels lower than 7.35 indicate acidosis and anything over 7.45 is alkalosis.
The causes and compensating mechanisms of acidosis and alkalosis are either respiratory or metabolic.
Respiratory acidosis results from CO2 accumulation producing excess carbonic acid. If the increased acid level causes the pH to drop below 7.35, the kidneys metabolically compensate by excreting acid in urine and reabsorbing bicarbonate to increase pH levels.
My theory for the 2024 deadline is that the Federal Reserve Note is nearly 100% depreciated and they needed a war during this time to replace the currency. That doesn't explain the frantic depopulation effort, though. I think that the population growth and the increase in the quality of life brought by oil and gas use present an existential threat to the DS. The development of digital currency technology now provides them with the means of global control.

You will find relativism (non-truth) at the root of the attack on truth. People speaking "their truths" enabled the dismissal of objective and absolute truth. Vulnerable people are now encouraged to believe they can change their sex and force others to participate in their lie.
