"1Yet listen now, Jacob my servant, and Israel, whom I have chosen. 2This is what the LORD who made you, and formed you from the womb, who will help you says: "Do not be afraid, Jacob my servant; and you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.

3For I will pour water upon the thirsty, and streams on the dry ground. I will pour my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants:

4and they will spring up among the grass, as willows by the watercourses.

5One will say, 'I am the LORD's;' and another will be called by the name of Jacob; and another will write with his hand 'to the LORD,' and honor the name of Israel."

6This is what the LORD, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts, says: "I am the first, and I am the last; and besides me there is no God.

7Who is like me? Who will call, and will declare it, and set it in order for me, since I established the ancient people? Let them declare the things that are coming, and that will happen.

8Do not fear, neither be afraid. Haven't I declared it to you long ago, and shown it? You are my witnesses. Is there a God besides me? Indeed, there is not. I do not know any other Rock." Isaiah 44:1-8 NHEB

😂😂😂 I bet folks named a lot of places either after a local tribe, or a place they knew from somewhere else. Some are creative like "Bug Tussle". I'd like to know the background of that town!!! Oklahoma had a land rush in the late 1800's where people literally raced across the state and staked claims. I think there was a lot of independent growth at that time that didn't fit any kind of modern planning model. 😂😂😂

Happened to me today even though I had continuous scroll turned on. I clicked continuous scroll off, then back on again (there's got to be a meme for that!) and it started working again. Hope this helps!

I saw an interesting statement in the Apology to the Augsburg Confession (XIIb 54) which said "Afflictions are a discipline by which God exercises the Saints." It was in a section talking about contrition. Sin is anything that separates us from God. Contrition is recognizing that separation, and more importantly, that it is we who separated ourselves from God. Afflictions draw us back to God. With everything going, on I would say there is a massive revival happening within the world. It is a Great Awakening, but in a way that we did not understand at first.

Praise God for his recovery. Dear Lord, please provide for this beloved Father & Mother as they deal with this health issue. Thank you for all the people you have trained to be ready to assist them now. Guide them to any diet or lifestyle changes that need to be made for his continued recovery. We give you all the glory for your grace & mercy. Strengthen them with your presence, bless them with faith in salvation through Jesus, and fill them with your peace. I ask all this in Jesus' Mighty name, Amen.

Great chapter! I really liked "Turn to me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other." Isaiah 45:22 ESV It really makes it clear that salvation is for all people and there is only one God.
