As one who is on the cusp of the boomer curve, I see your point, and appreciate the post. I remember when one actually received fair interest for savings bonds, rather than the 'diverse weights and measures' later generations get (or will be getting). It makes me angry for their sake.
As both an English language lover and a Christian, I would have preferred GB for accuracy's sake over GD as descriptions for humility, understanding and forgiveness. But as a small l libertarian, that's a choice one is free to make or not.
