I tend to keep my mouth closed at times when others would drop red pill bombs, because I want to be a bridge builder on the other side. It's a hard line to walk, but I firmly believe that the events in our near future will make life nearly unbearable. I don't want a strained relationship to be the reason a friend or family member doesn't reach out to me in their darkest hour. My burden is heavy, but it feels lighter because of this place. I would not have made it through covid without the digital support that I found here. You are stronger than you know, my fren, and the world after all of this will be worth whatever we must endure to get there.
Rereading your post before saving my comment, I realize that I didn't provide a solution as you asked. Just know that many of us feel the same way.
There are probably statutory guidelines and maybe a plea deal invloved (article was unhelpful), but 18 years and 8 months seems pretty light for the destruction that was enabled. Lives lost, families torn apart, lingering social and economic problems.
Couldn't this be done in a word editing program? Write up your post, then use the find/replace tool to change "a" to "á" or whatever. That way an AI wouldn't recognize a flagged word, while the human eye would.
And with your examples of using Russian characters, the change would be imperceptible to people, but basically turn the text into gobbledygook / nonsense for computers.
Edit - I bet there's a way to create a custom keyboard map that does this automatically.

Here's the thing about "legal tender for all debts, public and private"...
The debt has to exist. If you want to hire a contractor to build a house, but the contractor doesn't accept cash, the contractor can simply refuse to build the house. No debt exists. If the contractor builds the house and THEN refuses the cash, the contractor simply keeps the house. No debt exists.
If a coffee shop wants to take back the coffee, they can do that. They're assholes, and idiots, but they can do that. If they want to call the police, and say "we sold a cup of coffee but the customer won't pay via our preferred method" the police will say "well there's the money that you are owed, sitting right there on the counter, pick it up and stop calling us."
Again, this is how it works in the US. I would assume it's at least similar anywhere that fiat currency exists.

Thanks for your thoughts on suicide. I can't find a connection between blaspheming the Holy Spirit (the only unforgivable sin) and suicide. I've heard some compelling arguments, but none convincing enough for me to believe that a person who makes a momentary decision at their weakest moment is irredeemable.
Not that I am condoning suicide, but who am I to condemn?
