It's actually the 2nd and 3rd videos that show his growth. In part #2 he got away from social media and made some keen observations about the addictive and insidious nature of it.

In Part 3, his eyes are opened to the rampant crime and unsafe conditions of the world around him in NYC.

Overall, these 3 videos tell the tale of a man who changes his eating habits, restricts his media consumption and eventually emerges aware of his surroundings and takes crucial action.

I think this shows a path for personal growth and improvement in one's own daily life. I feel it is also a commentary on the dangers of modern life and what can happen if a person properly navigates to avoid them.
