When I am asked what ethnicity is mine, I say I'm Irish and Scotch. Half of me wants to get drunk and the other half doesn't want to pay for it, lol.

I have posted this before, but this picture makes me want to post it again, regarding the creation of the world. According to the Cherokee, when the Great Spirit made all living things, he sought to place them upon a giant tapestry he spread over the void. Once all living things were there, the humans began to separate from the rest of the animals as if to create a hierarchy of nature, so the Great Spirit took his finger and drew a line down the middle of the tapestry. A crack began to form and grow wider and wider as if to become a chasm. At the point just before the chasm became too wide to cross, Dog jumped over and stood by Man.

Dogs rule.

Was wondering if we are going to start hearing "Fauci Lied, People Died" or "Fauci Lied, Should Be Fried" coming down the pike. Probably not, just musing. What a disgrace. This little weasel is going to get away with it.

Oh Lord, I just remembered Madeline Kahn from Young Frankenstein: "You men are all alike...seven or eight quick ones and then you're out with the boys...woof....I think I'm in love..." God, that woman was funny.

Just thought of another one - Gabby Hayes announcing the new sheriff's arrival in Blazing Saddles. I hear the phrase, "the sheriff's a neeer [bell]" still quoted to this day. Thanks for posting this question. The wife and I are in stitches this rainy Tennessee morning remembering things that made us laugh over the years.

Carol later admitted in an interview she could no longer go out to dinner with Tim Conway because she would end up laughing so hard she wouldn't be able to eat. Of course, she said this facetiously, but I can see where this would be true. The dude was funny.

He did a hilarious routine where he was talking about Scotland and golf. Of course, he did a lot of funny stuff.

Curly from the Three Stooges. Bought the entire collection a couple of years ago. I know a lot of people don't care for them, but Curly had a comedic sense that resonated with many people. That whole stick with hand motions, wooo-wooo-wooo and nyuk nyuk nyuk kill me every time, I don't know what it is.

Boy, I'll tell you what - if you want to get depressed just scan the mainstream news every morning. Holy cow, as each day goes by, I realize more and more how really stupid people can become. We're living in an alternate reality, it must be so 😮

They were indeed. Used to enjoy Saturday mornings tooling around the garage listening to them go at it. Always funny at the end when they announced all the people working with them, including the infamous legal team of Dewey, Cheatham and Howe 😂

Created a twitter account a few months ago just to see what all the hubbub was about. Man, most of the people are nasty. Example: they're vilifying Trump, saying he was responsible for the train disaster. I did not realize some of the extreme vitriol coming from these clowns, Holy shit.

Stopped listening to them [I only listened to one show, Car Talk] when Tom Magliozzi died. That was quite a while ago.

What's missing in this country is the reaction to these videos. It should be one of national outrage. However, so many bastards have gotten away with stuff for so long that now we have become desensitized. There is no sense of shame in this country anymore. The shock factor no longer exists. This is the price we have to pay.

Weird thing, I love about 40 miles east of there. Had a dream where I was looking to the west and I saw a bright light followed by a mushroom cloud. Strange coincidence, but apparently this thing is under control.

Try and institute traditional math instruction in the classroom and you're going to face resistance - a lot of it. I've been fighting this battle for 25 years. Math is not cute, but often tedious, and not meant to be fun. That doesn't mean it can't be interesting. It requires memorization of basic concepts such as times tables, the order of operations, and how to identify and isolate a variable, to name a few. No phones, just patience and a lot of mental discipline. Sorry folks, that's not feel-good news, but it's true. Until we get back to rigor and discipline in the classroom, scores are going to suck. The covid bullshit only exacerbated the problem.
