My nephew graduated college last summer and is in his first job. He is at a bank and is doing well. Has already gotten a promotion, etc. He was proud the day they let him handle $500K in cash - not just exciting for him, but that he had so quickly earned the trust. He is probably making $22-$24/hour. His 16 year old cousin who is still in high school is working at In and Out making $20/hour. Something very wrong here.
Also in Bay Area - it must be the largest flock of sheep in America. When the mask mandate was "pulled", I was in LA for work. On the way down it was still in place and on the way back it was not. Plane was full and besides myself, and maybe three other people, everyone kept their mask on. Fear, fear, fear has worked well here because their greatest fear is to be seen as "the right" - even though that means anything to the right of extreme left. It is very junior high and the cool kids club. 🤮
And Nuisance can - as Elon so eloquently put it - go fuck himself. I can't stand that that prima donna.
I worked by the airport at the time on Bayshore. Our building had a view of the runway. It was odd to see the wreckage just lying on the runway. But what was ghoulish was the press and how they were camped out at this one lot across from a hotel that I drove by everyday where the families of the victims were staying. They deserved this punking.
Went to the candlelight Easter Vigil last night - had never been before and was in the mood to try something different. Fairly good attendance. Eight people baptized including one whole family. Although it ran late, it had been a long time since I had witnessed a baptism and it was kind of neat to watch their excitement.
Sacraficial lamb...IMHO. I just get a feeling it is to appease the great unwashed masses to show "the justice system works!"
Now, I could be completely off base and then shame on me for allowing my cynical self to dictate. Don't get me wrong - he deserves it. But he is too young to have real influence - more of a useful idiot.
I was watching the video released the other day and looking at her hands. The wrists of the sweater are white but in the older video, the stripes go all the way. Very similar, but I agree, I don't think it is the same. Still very odd.

In all seriousness, I have tried a tactic of if you consider yourself to be open-minded, then you have to be open to ideas and opinions that may from the get-go sound absurd. It may turn out that is the case, BUT you have to at least give it a look. Because no one likes to consider themselves close-minded. It is kind of a check to get them to at least think.
