Launch-phase to "landing" will likely not be a very long time between Russia and Ukraine.

Next time someone walks into that room and pulls out a chair to sit on will undoubtedly ask why every chair has a vertical conical-shaped area near the back of each seat. The pucker-factor had to be a 10...

She probably shouldn't try to walk around by herself in London. There is a group of people (not to be mentioned) running around the streets terrorizing the locals. I imagine she will soon find that out.

Dam - thanks for bringing up a memory...

I had a foster kid accidentally sit on my wife's sugar glider and kill it. It sucked. That thing was fun. It would go up to our 2nd floor, get up on the rail, and jump down on to us - usually on our shirts. They glide very well. My wife was even able to watch as it ate those "pinkies" - baby mice that haven't gotten their fur yet. It needed protein every once and a while.

While she's institutionalized, give her high doses of testosterone and teach her football. She could help some team on their defensive line.

Agree about the baked pies. I won't order them at all. If I wanted to eat something like that I would go to a grocery store and buy one from their clearance (read: past the best by date) rack, eat a bite, and remember why I hate them.

I think there is a 3rd reason. It wouldn't surprise me at all if there were very small traces of whatever they were actually spreading - directly on the swabs. Small enough that not everyone would get sick, but enough to affect (or infect) people that were already at risk with other health issues.

Some people say there was graphene oxide. Maybe that was a red herring - to mask whatever they wanted to infect people with by letting them make theories about 5g or nanobots or whatever. Maybe they found something that (when combined with whatever is in the boosters) would lead to the cancers, clots, and other issues we are seeing. Something similar to vinegar and baking soda being ok by themselves, but when they are mixed they create a cool reaction.

I'll never know myself because if someone tries to shove one of those up my nose they will get one in the eye.

I think the gathering of DNA was a bonus, but not the main objective.

The 1929 crash started at the very end of October and went into November. The 2008 crash did happen in November. In fact in a few short weeks (by the week of the 16th) the S&P itself was down %50.

Correct. See https://constitutioncenter.org/blog/understanding-the-constitutions-25th-amendment for a good writeup.

However - this is not an easy or fast process. When is the last time 2/3 of both the house and senate agreed on anything?

Here is the important part from the article:

The 25th Amendment sets a high bar to use Section 4. Once the vice president and either the cabinet or a disability review panel agree to invoke the amendment, the vice president is allowed immediately to “assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.” The president can then notify Congress that “no inability exists” and he “shall resume the powers and duties of his office.” In that case, he can resume the powers of office unless the vice president and the cabinet or body formed by Congress jointly object.

If not in session, Congress is required to convene within 48 hours once the 25th Amendment is invoked. When in session, Congress has 21 days to settle the question if the president notifies Congress in writing that no inability exists. The vice president and the cabinet or disability body has four days to file an objection to the president’s declaration within that 21-day time frame. If no objection is filed, the president resumes his duties.

If the president’s declaration is contested, two-thirds of the House and Senate must agree to allow the vice president to act as president until the president is considered able to serve, and the president can file another declaration about his ability to serve after Congress votes on the question.

I love my state!

For those of you who don't know, before Dawn Buckingham was elected as the Texas Land Commissioner in the 2022 midterms, George P Bush had served in that office since the beginning of 2015. He ran for Texas AG and lost.

How many of you think a Bush would do this with land?

Bringing retirees is different than bringing back people unjustly discharged. It is more involved to change their status, benefits, possibly rank. It is easier to bring back officers though.

Also it wouldn't backfill the recruiting gap either. Right now it might help cover the missing numbers but the people that would come back are mostly higher rank - not O-1 or E-1s. There would be a big hole still (Thanks Biden). It will take years to recover and get the numbers back to where they belong.

The military needs certain numbers of lower, middle, and senior ranking enlisted and officers. Biden cut the lower and much of the middle tiers with the stupid mandates, and by scaring (very smart) parents with his stupid policies and performance. I would never sign the papers for my kids if they were still at the age of recruitment if Biden was there - or most Democrats for that matter. I served during the last year of Reagan, through HW Bush, and most of Clinton. The differences were MASSIVE. During Clinton we lost a lot of our military - just like every dem since at least Carter.

Dems always hollow the forces out.

Fire all of the HR first! They hired most of these people, and likely by DEI standards. We don't need them continuing the same process.

I think the judge(s) will delay both the NY and GA cases and say they can't interfere with a sitting President. They will then hold them until he is no longer President and carry on. At least that's what they want to do.

If and when new AGs and DAs replace these morons, or they are arrested and convicted of corruption, the charges will vanish.

I think DRan has it correct. The big agencies in DC have contracts with shredding companies (maybe still Iron Mountain?). I was at the Pentagon for 5 years. Shredder trucks showed up once or twice a week (scheduled on the same days) at the east loading dock - no idea how many others went to other loading docks. My co-worker and I still both smoked and we would go out there for either a break or to clear our heads if we were hitting a brick wall in one of our penetration tests.

The trucks would be there for a couple of hours. Most weeks we would see them twice, but every once in a while they wouldn't be there on one of the days, so I bet they were called and told they weren't needed this time.

Now I'm sure more stuff is digital these days (as opposed to the late '90s) but the Pentagon went through a LOT of paper. I'd wager they still do. This doesn't mean the DOJ isn't trying to get rid of bad (to them) info, but the DOJ I'm sure has a ton of paper files/docs for use in court that would need to be shredded once used.

He landed at the Brownsville South Padre Island International Airport at around 2pm Central.

What's weird is I first searched the tail number N757AF and didn't find the plane. Then I clicked on the "U" to show military and found it right away. The callsign was N757AF and not "SAMxxx". Since it showed up under the military area I expected to see the SAM callsign (special air mission). I thought it used to show up under the civilian area but I've "misremembered" stuff before. The history also doesn't show anything except this flight - nothing on previous days, and I can't get the traceline playback to work.

Any planefags here that can add anything?

That doesn't surprise me at all. Fortunately if they do come at us we will finally have the chance/mandate to go wipe out all of the cartels. Those idiots may want to rethink their plans.

Agreed. Didn't they flip it in 2020 (red to blue)? I seem to remember hearing about them stealing it on '20 or '22.
