I was listening to commentary on judges in the Bible, and it occurred to me, as a child, one hindrance which kept me from enjoying the Scriptures were the vivid descriptive stories depicting acts of evil.
I literally could not comprehend the viciousness contained within. The book of Judges reminds me of two things, 1) we need, true leadership, under the established laws of God. Without those we are left to our own devices and we suffer accordingly. 2) when we fail to follow God, giving laws and ordinances, then we openly to sin… but we don’t choose the consequences.
In real time — I’m witnessing us as a Nation among many nations, losing our liberties and rights.
26 And the Messiah cometh in the fulness of time, that he may redeem the children of men from the fall. And because that they are redeemed from the fall they have become free forever, knowing good from evil; to act for themselves and not to be acted upon, save it be by the punishment of the law at the great and last day, according to the commandments which God hath given. 27 Wherefore, men are free according to the flesh; and all things are given them which are expedient unto man. And they are free to choose liberty and eternal life, through the great Mediator of all men, or to choose captivity and death, according to the captivity and power of the devil; for he seeketh that all men might be miserable like unto himself.

Why is a Muslim’s homophobia more credible than the Christian community? Why do we fear them, bc of their psychotic behavior? Honor killings? Forced marriages?
