Also, currently theres approximately 9500 aircraft up over the US on a Sunday. Not all are strictly US, but I did a quick calculation.
Ave number of passengers on a plane = According to available data, the average number of passengers on a plane is around 160 passengers per flight, with this figure varying depending on the aircraft type and route, but most commonly falling within a range of 100 to 200 passengers.
Calculation 160 x 9500 planes = 1,520,000 people in the sky. crazy

at 15 second in, if you slow down the video ( I had to scroll fwd/back a few times) and watch the light, just before it hits the ground you can see what looks like the wing of a plane, with a light on the end. Otherwise, yes, it does look like a missile! Coming in fast!... super fast!
