Don't know where he is in math, but Khan academy is free, on line, and very helpful.

Best thing to do when starting out: Use a complete program, such as ABEKA, or an all inclusive online program such as K12...this will help you break into homeschooling without having to worry about curriculum selection.
Join HSLDA and seek out your local homeschooling community. Find an experienced homeschooling parent that will mentor you. Once you are able to work out your best structure (it's a very personal endeavor as you need to find a curriculum/method that accommodates your strengths/lifestyle AS WELL AS your child's) then you can look at possibly tweaking you curriculum or sticking with a "canned" curriculum. Biggest misstep parents make, especially when you are jumping in feet first without having any pre-planning, is being overwhelmed. I don't don't know your child's ages, but focusing on the basics, reading fluently, writing clearly, and knowing how to manipulate figures (add, subtract, multiply, divide, then percents and consumer math) is the way to start. And, encourage your child to read, read, read! Read good literature. You can even listen to books on tape together and discuss them. I can not overemphasize how powerful focusing on good literature and non-fiction is for kids. Attend the closest state homeschooling convention (usually during the summer) NC has an epic one...they offer terrific sessions on just about everything you may need, as well as gobs and gobs of curricula...my kids also loved attending.

I taught my son and daughter K-12. Had them in a co-op from 7th grade to 12th (I taught there too), and transitioned them to community college for their last few years. They both entered college with college credits. Both graduated on time (4years) and were very well prepared. I ended up teaching public school (middle school math) after they went to college, so I got to see both sides.

Have you ever thought, "Gee, I really wish I lived in Chicago, Philly, San Fran, Cleveland, Baltimore, NYC..."

I will listen to Candace from time to time...she's not on board with a stolen election either. But I do enjoy her take on many things. I am willing to entertain voices that don't exactly concur with my point of view, but I limit trustworthiness to a very curated list of sites.

True, but maybe she has "evolved", for lack of a better word (actually, a goofy word, but it's late and my mind is mush!) And, people can change their minds...but you are right. It is a stretch. I had just heard Candace Owen's talking about the race today ...no Candace comments, ok?! I know she's not everyone's cup of tea but it interesting that she voiced that she's not enamored with DeSantis and seems more supportive of Trump, which she is aware many at Daily Wire are not)

How true! Mine can stem from decision fatigue...when I'm faced with overwhelming information, decisions become stifling and lead to withdrawal from the "noise" and clutter of my environment, but mostly mine comes from SAD...I'm a sunlight junkie and low light is toxic.

My theory on the rampant depression in our culture is predicated on the reality that when people have too much free time to contemplate their own existence, and the act of living is liberated from the hard work and effort needed to survive, they tend to major on the minors, so to speak, and the intense self scrutiny is tiresome and debilitating...ie, too much unproductive time on their hands...

Also, Nancy Pelosi and Joe Niden are as much a Catholic as the Rothschilds are jews...just saying.

I'm glad you asked the question...I'm half Jewish myself, askanazi in fact, so I'm conflicted(I'm a Christian and was raised such). My rational is the "jews" that are misleading masses are not Jews of the Torah, because they obviously do not embrace God's law. I figure the "cabal" are to the Jewish people like the "mafia" is to the Italians...bad, criminal apples motivated by greed and power that happen to be genetically (or maybe no?) connected to a larger group of people.

I homeschooled both of my kids from 1993 - 2007...hardest thing I ever did because of the pressure I put on myself. When they were in middle/high-school, they attended a co-op once a week, as well as community College classes as they drew nearer to graduation. After they went to college, I got my teaching certificate and taught in the public schools for 10 years - middle school i.e. the front lines of the culture War. It certainly reinforced my gratefulness that homeschooling was worth the effort.

I don't think he did...I listened to Garrett Ziegler on a podcast (Robert Gouveia) and I think he(Garrett) said that it had to be entered as a hard copy document...I'm sure I don't have that exactly straight, but the gist is I was under the impression that it could not be due to its format...can someone corroborate if that is indeed the case?

Cut sugar, turmeric and fish oil (I use relief factor) and cbd directly on hands...I have arthritis in my thumbs and this helps me.
