I participated in many of those rallies. I'd say it depends on the area. Newport, Huntington and Yorba Linda are Trump country but Santa Ana, Fullerton, Anaheim, and Irvine are pretty liberal. Many conservatives left the county over the years and it's closer to 50/50 now. I remember a rally in Santa Ana getting really ugly. People were hurling projectiles from cars and some thugs assaulted the Trump supporters.
OC doesn't use Dominion but their system is definitely rigged. In 2018, the Dems used ballot-harvesting and absentee ballot dumps to flip 4 districts. It was a trial-run for the mass mail-in ballot fraud perpetrated in 2020. That being said, I lived there for over three decades and did sense the county shifting blue in the last two election cycles.
