Frens, for as long as I can remember my family has a tradition of eating black eyed peas on New Years Day. Big pot cooking in the kitchen right now. With bacon and other goodies.

Black-eyed peas are traditionally eaten on New Year’s Day in the Southern United States to bring good luck, prosperity, and fortune for the coming year. The beans symbolize coins, collard greens represent paper money, and cornbread signifies gold, with pork often included to symbolize progress as pigs root forward.

Recipes for this tradition continue to emphasize slow-cooked dried black-eyed peas with ingredients like bacon, ham hocks, or smoked sausage for rich, smoky flavor.

Praise God for all the blessings of my life. I truly believe I am still here because I am on a mission from God.

No, October 6 was the day Frodo et al were attacked on Weathertop by the Nazgul.

Jesus was born on April 17.

This is why you don't let your cat watch Guardians of the Galaxy.

That raccoon is a bad influence.

I can't remember how long I've been listening to Dave. Does his Report go back to 2015 and the escalator ride? I think it was somewhere around there I started tuning in.
