National Enquirer in particular knows that if they get anything wrong they're going to get sued and nobody is going to give them the benefit of the doubt. Oddly enough it's one of the last newspapers to still do real investigative journalism. Most of the mainstream papers just write opinion pieces or made-up stories from "unnamed sources familiar with someone's thinking". The rest of what they do is to re-print corporate and government press releases.
Bat Boy was from the Weekly World News, which is now defunct IIRC. I don't think The Enquirer has ever done stories about aliens and cryptids and such.
Anyway, the MSM DEFINITELY attacks Alex Jones, who they can then conveniently associate with anyone else that they want to discredit.
this is a form of disclosure. It prints an honest headline, or even a very dramatic version of the events to plant the seed that these things are possible. This way, it wont be the first time the public sees it when/if its released. Additionally it has the added benefit of also discrediting the story since the publication is not viewed as legitimate.
Ah, I had been looking at it from the other angle: that the DS long ago planted the seed that the rags are total BS only so they could then use them decades later to discredit things like what Q is brining to light.
I guess I could see it going either way. But, regardless, someone is definitely playing the very long ball here.
A few decades ago, my brother was dating a med student, M. She had an issue of The National Enquirer. I asked why someone of her intelligence would read a rag like that. M said notice the headline. I guarantee you within 3-6 months, you will see it in mainstream magazines. She was absolutely correct. I have picked up a copy just about every week since then. All of these stories broke and many more on the NE:
You know, as a kid, when you're more innocent, you tend to believe the "crazy" stuff you see in the Enquirer. I know I did. Then, as I got older, more "educated," the "Enquirer" became for me what I was told it was, "yellow journalism." Fake. Rubbish.
I can remember as a teen, my brother and two cousins would crack jokes at Grandma and Grandpa Free for even reading it, much less having a subscription to it. They both would just giggle a little, give us the "bless your heart, child," and go about their business.
Grandpa Free is the one who got me going down this path of awakening. I should've known better all along that he had a very good reason why he and Grandma always read it.
I honestly haven't given that paper much thought over the years. Never really paid attention to it after I got to 5th grade. I don't even know if it's still sold in the stores.
Wow. Now I kinda feel dumb for ignoring it all these years.
The entire time I was growing up, The Enquirer was filled with nothing but stories about Bigfoot, UFO's and celebrity gossip. So by now, everyone is quite willing to dismiss anything in The Enquirer as bogus, made up and strictly for entertainment purposes.
Really drives home the point just how long they've been planning all of this - discredit a paper for, what, 30 years? Then start printing the real shit in it.
Word. My uncle who used to be in the music industry always told us that the National enquirer had a lot of truth and would be the first to break a lot of stories. We all thought the guy was nuts. RIP uncle Ray
I noticed this early last year. The local drug store I frequent has the tabloids right at the check-out. I mentioned to my GF that the Enquirer was the only one actually reporting real news. I don't purchase it but, I look every time I'm there to see what it says on the cover.
MiB was a documentary.
Wait wut
?always has been
??
lol I love this line
First thing I thought of when I read the title of the thread. Then read the headlines reaction "WOW"
The “hot sheets” - best investigative reporting on the planet.

I was about to post that. Hah!
Exactly my first thought but everyone beat me to it.
LIMITED HANGOUT PSYOPS
Truthful information is dropped by discredited or 'fringe' media.
The messenger is destroyed and so is the information provided.
It's very effective.
This is what I think, too.
Alex Mossad Jones comes to mind
Alex Jones was the first to be deplatformed as a test run for the purge.

lol oh shoot, I commented before I saw your reply. AJ, exaaaactly.

They do this on purpose. Hide the truth the the 'tabloids' so people see it at the super market check out line and go
"oh that must be rubbish since it was in the enquirer" and shrug it off.
I’ve always privately laughed about this myself. ? you aren’t wrong
Wait I’m sorry are these real
Always has been.
So the truth has been out there the entire time and the world is still asleep? ?

OJ's Bruno Maglis
Gary Hart/Donna Rice
John Edwards/Rielle Hunter

I wonder what else they've been right on?
They broke the Jon Edwards story. He was the favorite for the Dems primary a number of cycles ago. They beat the MSM by at least 4 months.
they broke the story about John Edwards as well

They play that too in the movie Men in Black.
They broke the John edwards affair story back in, what? 2008?
They were right about him. Yeah, it was 2008.
We ignored all the signs in the check out line
Always has been.
Looks like its time to get a subscription to the National Enquirer - that final nail in my "bat shit crazy" diagnosis from friends and family lol
Reminds me of Rorschach in Watchmen. All of his truth gets thrown into a fiction pile in a newspaper.
I'd really rather not see the evidence for the last one
I read once that the National Inquirer had never been successfully sued for libel or defamation. Just like Lin.
I saw the current one yesterday. It's about how they exposed the white nationalist plot to raid the capital building.
more interesting is who OWNS the enquirer...

Kind of crazy to think about.... ?
Jerry from Conspiracy Theory told us this if I remember correctly.
Here's Signature at the bottom of my emails. " The Only Difference in Conspiracy Theory and Truth.........is Time ".
Star Magazine this month has something about some sodomite drinking blood.
