Yeah, I totally don't get what's going down, but it's my fault because I've been out of the loop dealing with lung issues. Had a PET scan Monday. I haven't been modding much over the past week or so,so, yeah. I've always liked and had fun with EvSpra. I form opinions on people independently of whether they like me. So I'll continue to like the hilarious and dedicated guy I was chatting with and wish him the best in the future. The rest is noise. That's the guy I saw.
The drama doesn't phase me personally. The mods shouldn't be the subject anyway. That'll die down and we'll soon go back to being a Q.-focused WIN and I'll always be the worst mod. This is how I like it.
I will refrain from opining on things I don't know about, but will whole heartedly agree that going overboard with flair is not good for all the reasons listed. Love my tinfoil pepe, but agree with OP, some threshold should be crossed to earn. I don't much care for the little messages, those should be for mods only IMO.
There is a fine line between shill crushing and censorship, and it has been crossed more than I'd like to see. I am in favor of letting the Anons use their down votes to self regulate. I want down votes with styling on if my opinion matters for anything. Sidebar rules are enough, mods start enforcing opinion rules I get riled. "Low energy" for example is too fucking arbitrary. It's the little things that sway the tide in a battle for hearts and minds. Censorship is never a good look, nor are mods who talk down, belittle, and insult. To be honest I'd prefer a board where I hardly notice mods even exist.
Normie friendly isn't a driving concept in my life, but it isn't my board. Hope you all get it worked out. Infighting sucks to see.
While I support Evspra in many of their actions recently, I also agree with much of this. If the time ever comes that I leave this community, I won't be making a big drama about it, because I want this community to flourish and sowing dissent can only be harmful.
Regarding name styling, again I agree with this perspective even though I really really like mine. Possible compromise is that after a certain number of updoots you can earn it?

Information is information and believe it's up to the individual to discern it's validity or not. Isn't that what we are fighting for - free speech.

Leave people alone and let us discuss what we feel is important; the cream will rise to the top. For many of us, this is one of the few outlets we have but making certain topics off limits doesn’t help expose the truth... which will and needs to be uncomfortable. No more censored topics and no more protected groups!
This is a good post. Evspra was well intended and helped to wake a lot of people up. I was very critical when he left. NCSWIS. It’s a hellish journey. All the good guys will reunite at the end of the movie. Be well Evspra and God bless

While I agree there should be some "policing" of the site considering the shills that "we" as a community suffer on a day-to-day basis is warranted, most of us found this site once we started getting censored by the left because of our ideas. Once this site "Certain mods" decided to censor those ideas as "Conspiracy" or "We are just spreading disinformation" It no longer felt like a community for sharing "free-thinking" thoughts/ideas. I actually left for like a week because of these issues. I come back and now was told sharing any positive message from George news would get me banned I felt betrayed by the very community I support 100%. People are capable of critical thinking and deciding for themselves whether or not to believe something. If they are unsure, it's not like they can't ask someone. Thank you for promoting a community of ideas and discussion.
