Spot prices are not established by physical delivery per se, but settling paper contracts in majority of cases. Paper contracts outweigh physical by a magnitude that cannot be overcome by a steady stream.
However, trying to get physical means, you need to pay somebody to get it for you. The Premium over spot is still within bounds. If that surges into the stratosphere it will influence the physical price of gold.
If they claim bankruptcy it is only to collect a bailout payment. They have more off the books than most county's GDPs.

Oh just walk through the Vatican and look upon all its treasures, there are a lot of them. Everywhere, all given by the faithful. Now they want more ???? - really struck as I walked through the hallowed place, far far too much gold everywhere to be comfortable - I would have thought they would have put those donations to better use. Popes do love their treasure and of course the faithful will donate with love to him rather than look after themselves.
