I do not see it being a significant issue getting one finished way ahead of schedule. As an avgeek I love the 747. I have Joe Sutter’s book on the development of the Jumbo, and its absolutely a worthwhile read. Wish I had a chance to fly Delta’s before they were sent out to pasture, but I was lucky enough to fly upper deck on one of KLM’s -400Combis in 2019. Sad to see so many airlines retire them, but hopefully I’ll be able to get on one of Korean’s -8is once airlines stop with the masknazi bullshit.
Yeah flying first row window on a 747 is another one I really want to experience. It was a touch choice between that and upper deck when I flew KLM, and even though the upper deck is nothing more than just another airplane cabin, I just had to pick that. How’d you pull off the simulator flight?
No, no, no. The table is much larger and the base of the arm that is holding the pane is cropped out of the photo. If there was another inch on the bottom half of the photo you would start to see the reflection of the plane on the table, it's in perspective. There isn't any trickery going on here.
The model is held up high off the table by a stand. The base of the stand is just out of frame. The plane model itself is not actually close to the table. Its about 8 - 10 inches higher than the table surface. The airplane model's reflection would therefore be outside the frame of this photo.
