That is what I would do if I was going to go to Washington to take our country back. Generals, sleeping in a tent on Pennsylvania Ave after all, might arouse suspicion..

Problem is, when you're in one, it feels like youre sleeping outside.
Its far more likely that these are the generals and leaders at the Pentagon or out of town base commanders who have been taking payoffs and colluding with the cabal. They are no longer safe anywhere else but DC. Thus they are moving there to use it as a base of operations in a desperate attempt to hold onto power.
The problem with the US military is that the cabal has somehow figured out a way to corrupt a pretty large number of the high level generals, but they have no way to do the same to the rank and file. Unit commanders... Captains, Majors, Lieutenant colonels, Colonels etc that command men and go with them to Iraq etc are the ones who will in the end be forced to save this country. They will have to tell those generals to go fuck themselves and retake this country, but their men will have their backs.
Those corrupt generals foolishly believe that when they give unlawful orders to their underlings that some/most will follow those orders. I don't think its going to work out that way. The one good thing about waiting this long is it has given plenty of these people a chance to think about how they will react when that moment comes. When some general orders a Major in charge of an artillery battery to fire on civilians or worse another US military unit he's labeled as traitors that Major will most likely tell him to fuck off. He might just shoot the general.
Or it could be this is a sign those generals now understand their authority over their underlings is weak. Thus they don't feel safe anywhere outside of DC. Meaning they are worried about exactly what I laid out above... that their own men might turn on them and even arrest or simply shoot them. So they are seeking safety in numbers and fleeing to DC.
There is also the possibility that Q is or soon will be hunting them, and they know it.
If someone wants a good research project get a list of the names of those generals and look at what they've written, the projects they've been in charge of, etc. I'll bet you will find 99% of them are obvious deep state allies. They are all part of the military industrial complex or leftist garbage humans.
If you don't have a star in DC your rank doesn't mean squat.

If they are on official government duty and charging the government for their stays, the hotel has to charge them the official government rate. BUT, if they are there for military tribunals, we are in uncharted territory. If Four Seasons was guilty of criminal behavior they may be given the US military those rooms for free!

Mandalay Bay Hotel, owned by MGM who paid out settlements to the victims but I've heard the top floor(s) were owned by the saudis, there was some sort of event on they were doing, and the shooter was involved in arms trafficking.

The name of the hotel mentioned in the tweet is of no significance. It is the fact that a number of generals based outside Washington are converging on one location in the city at the same time. I don’t know whether it means anything but it is unusual.
