When everyone but the elite are all lower class citizens, the lower classes would have more than enough money to buy all the crap they sell, but the elite would be in total control of all their lower class customers. If anyone doesn't think this is the case, ask them if they know any poor people in the U.S. who don't have a TV, cell phone, and buy cigarettes, beer, and lottery tickets :)
