To all my frens on this site: PLEASE don't drink this shit. Pepsi, Sprite, any of it. It's all garbage and it will all make you sick eventually. Putting aside what shitbags the people at Coca-Cola are, this stuff is some of the worst shit you can put in your body, hands down. And to all my frens here, I sincerely hope for all of you to stay healthy and strong for what I'm sure is coming - we need our strength and we need our health. Soda (or Pop, depending on where you are) offers no health benefits whatsoever and only deteriorates what health you have left. There are so many alternatives out there - I highly recommend San Pellegrino if you need something carbonated. They have cans in lots of flavors - which are flavored with fruit juice and delicious - grapefruit, orange, pomegranate, etc. - they're so good (disclaimer: if you have acid reflux, the citrus will not agree with you - my husband found that out the hard way). Discover green tea - it's SO good for you - add some lemon and honey and you can chill it and make iced tea out of it to keep in the fridge. So many healthy alternatives out there. Sorry to preach but I really just want people to be aware so they can make better choices. Take care and remember - you are what you eat and drink!!
Thank you. There's so much stacked against us healthwise - pollution, heavy metals, vaxxed people shedding all over us - there's no reason to voluntarily ruin your health like this.
I am SO happy for you - probably one of the best things you've ever done for your health. Good point also - the detox part of it - that stuff is absolutely addictive. Ask anyone with a mountain dew in their hand to go a week without it, and watch them freak out.
Oh, I hear that! I live with one! Once she saw my weight drop, she started cutting back as well.
There are water charts out there where you can figure out how much you need per day based on your size. The bigger you are, the more water you need to stay hydrated. That was shocking to me.
It really put into perspective how much dehydration we incur, and how most people we meet are likely dehydrated as well.
My israeli friend always gives people water when he greets them as a kind gesture. Now it makes sense.
That's a very kind gesture indeed. Water is something we all need, and you're right, most don't get enough. I love spring water - given what they put in the tap water these days, I won't even make rice or pasta with it. We buy 6-8 gallons of spring water each week for basic kitchen use (thank God they're like 2 for $1.50). We use it to make coffee, fill the cat's water dish, cook rice, potatoes, noodles, everything. The only use for tap water I have is to wash the dishes. Even on our shower head we have a filter.
Night and day. I crave sugar & salt like crazy (also completely cut ALL candy, chocolate, chips) but I stave that off with the Corona Killer, a glass of orange juice. Non-Coca-Cola brands, naturally.
I even stopped drinking mediocre liquor because my stomach can't handle the pop mix any more.
I pass bowel movements more easily, my acid reflux is significantly lower, I have greater energy, less headaches, my piss is clear instead of nuclear (and it doesn't burn or get stuck halfway out).
Nothing can make me want to drink pop again, even my favorite brand (which is not Coca-Cola-related, or even North American).
Dark chocolate isn't that bad for you. In fact, it surprisingly has a good deal of iron in it. Maybe that's something you can treat yourself to for doing such a good job of eating well! :) I don't know you but I'm very proud of you - it's not easy to resist the things we want to eat, and it sure sounds like you have a LOT of will power! So congratulations - that is no small accomplishment! :)
Thank you. I appreciate your support. It's not easy, but now when I go to the grocery store 80+% looks gross and I won't go near it.
As for dark chocolate, I always found it disgusting and only ever ate it out of addictive desperation when the store was closed and the pantry was empty. The darker it is, the more it tastes like dirt.
Oh and speaking of dirt, I despise coffee. Always have. I was addicted to those Starbucks Frappuccino things ever since Sept. 2019 (pharmacy stocked them and they were the only thing open during work hours), but now coffee is off the table too.
I'm very close to running out of shitty food to cut. Now I just need to figure out what to replace it all with. So many differing opinions on what's healthy.
Are you familiar with Dr. Axe? If you haven't already, go to draxe.com and read up on the healthy foods he recommends. Everything I've tried from his website (natural remedies) has worked so I trust him very much. He's all about natural healing and good health from whole foods and nutritious living. For me, I just try to avoid chemicals at every turn. I read labels in depth and if I can't pronounce or readily identify what's in something, I don't eat it. I like to buy organic fruits and veggies as much as possible to avoid pesticides. Some things I can let go, like bananas, since you peel them, but berries like blueberries, strawberries, raspberries - you eat the whole thing so those are zero tolerance for me, I ONLY buy organic with those. Same with raw spinach and salads. So hopefully that's a start; you gotta eat something. Do check out Dr. Axe's website, I think you'll find a lot of good information there.
I respect success and don't hate anyone simply on the basis of how much they make... but if you make exactly $666,666 a month, you should maybe sit down and ask yourself if you sold your soul at some point.
OK, so when news about this guy broke earlier, I duckhunt image searched him, because a thousand words and all that...
And I try to be polite in general, so I kept my mouth shut. But since OP included his picture here, I'll say it:
Can anyone think of a single person post-1930 who exclusively wears bowties to photo shoots (it's all he wears!) who isn't a complete asshole?
Ernie Johnson from Inside the NBA is the only one I can MAYBE give a pass to... But rethinking that as well with everything wrong with the NBA these past few years.

Flavored kombucha.
That's my go-to when I want something sparkly that feels like pop.
It's good for you, it's alive, and it's low in calories.
It tastes like there's sugar in it, but there is almost none.
Excellent point, I missed that!
Fructose is a poison on its own...
It is - and high fructose corn syrup is even more bastardized than fructose alone. They're both horrible for you.
San Pellegrino is great. Liquid Death is amazing. La Croix is another.
I got off soda in 2019 and while it sucks at first, once you detox you stop craving it, and get your mind back.
You'll wonder why you ever needed it in the first place.

Haven't had pop in 2 years and my life has changed.
Good for you - you must feel so much better!

Is your favorite Sarsaparilla? ?
I do love Fallout, but my favorite is an English ginger ale called Fever Tree.

Thank you, Fren! The Good Lord provideth!
You have offended good and decent horses everywhere, fren.
I will pass your heartfelt apologies on to them, fren.
Symbolism will be their downfall.
Ah, so they care enough to mock us. Must have had an impact.
How can you boycott them anymore when you are buying zero of their products??!!
Well, that's fairly unequivocal, doubling down. Just as well their products are awful, I love easy boycotts.
I respect success and don't hate anyone simply on the basis of how much they make... but if you make exactly $666,666 a month, you should maybe sit down and ask yourself if you sold your soul at some point.
Don’t forget the $4,000,000 signing bonus to complete the 1 year $12 million deal
It doesn't get much more obvious than that.
It's not just a show, it's a Clown Show....
Seriously, it is, and it's deliberate.................

Yuck.
