This popped up on my local cities Facebook feed about our local library. Original poster only forwarded it and left. Post quickly had 10 screaming lefties by the time I saw it. By the end it was me against 50.
All day, it was a assault against me and I never backed down. My main argument, there is no reason a topic that requires explaining sexuality should be anywhere 5 year olds are. It's the parents job, not a city employee to teach about sexuality and family nucleus. At least not until adolescence.
I was called about everything you can imagine and was even called by my jobs HR department as well (my job is hidden, so they had to scroll down to 2010 almost to see where I worked). HR was fine with it, just told me they are getting complaints.
Constant barrage of hatred. Until.....the Mayor noticed and AGREED with me! He then stated he has removed the display.
I had three lefties who were screaming at first then agree with many of my points as well, especially when I compared CRT and how it is targeting children.
Can't say I changed the minds on the 47 others though ?

You know I’ve found that holding your ground and making a stand ( in something you truly believe in) almost always works— of course you can always get shot and die so pick your mountains— but as Devildogpede proved standing ground can gain ground!

Their “tolerant and unifying” behavior REALLY gets under my skin. You disagree? As a library director, good for you. I refuse to be anything other than a neutral public entity. I'm a minority in the field in every way. A conservative white male, and thankfully live in a based small city in the Midwest. While I have a couple of employees who would just love to promote every agenda driven idea, I will not. It's what is best for the library and the patrons we serve.

Absolutely. It was never my intent when I decided to get into library administration, but when I did the world was less aware of all the BS happening under our noses. I hoard historical non fiction because the censorship currently is a digital version of book burning. Knowledge is Power.

I just figured out why they chose the rainbow to symbolize their movement- they wanted imagery that appeals to children. The rainbow was chosen to help indoctrinate the agenda of organized faggotry onto children. Diabolical propaganda.
