I worked on a sail yacht one time, and the stovetop was gimbled so that when the yacht rolled, the stovetop would stay level. It also had sea rails to keep pots and pans from sliding off.
A gimble is a mount that allows movement in multiple directions. For example, the compass on a sailboat is mounted that way so that it will stay level all the time and point the way properly.
If I really could buy anything I think I'd rather have an LAV-25 or maybe a Stryker. The M-1 is awesome but its not very practical and its a fuel hog. The LAV can ford rivers and hauls ass on roads. Plus it has a main gun that will chew up pretty much anything but a MBT.
I would want to buy the A-10, but that just because I know that aircraft is a beast. Though getting the ammo for the gun might be very costly...Wonder if It comes with USB ports???
The trick is you need a few F-15 flying cover for you while you do that close air support. Literally the two best at those jobs. That's a one-two punch no enemy wants to see overhead.
Anybody else see what they're charging for 20mm ammo these days? TF good is a Vulcan gun w/out brrrrrp-brrrrrp's? Forget about AIM-7s and AIM-9s, and also nobody has AMRAAMs in stock at any price point. On the other hand, I got a couple of sweet nukes for almost cost because of the Veteran's discount. I just need to find a dosimeter to wear and a second man to arm himself and observe me whenever I open my gun safe from now on.
