I was dead center yesterday morning, but now they predict it will go further inland through NC. We'll be on the east side of it. I expect we will get a good bit of wind. It's supposed to start getting windy here tomorrow.
I'm lucky that I live on the main line that serves the local hospital, so ours is the first that gets turned back on.
My property goes to a swamp, but only part of our back yard has ever flooded. Our house is high enough that we aren't required to have flood insurance. The house is old and has seen many storms. I will stay put, unless they say a Cat 5 is going to hit dead center. Then all the photos and hard drives go in the car first. Everyone needs an evacuation plan so they don't waste time or forget important things.
