When a virus mutates it gets weaker. The Wuhan Flu has a 99.97999% survival rate so why would I worry about it's weaker mutant cousin, unless I was a brainless mutant Communist Democrat.

How can they prove there are variants when they cant even show us a complete isolated genome of the original? In fact, how can they prove this is a unique virus in the first place without a complete isolated genome?

They cant.

I keep seeing this "mutations are less lethal". Where does this belief come from? Mutations are errors during sequence copying by the host cell. How do these errors occur? Why would it necessarily be "less lethal"? This virus hardly kills anyone to start with, so increasing lethality wouldn't inhibit the virus' "goal" of increasing its biomass, if you consider that the virus' goal.

ForThisiStand 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think it depends on what you read and how specific they make a statement. Generally speaking, if a virus is lethal it kills off its hosts and cannot transmit easily. It’s not a living thing. It’s genetic code that creates an immune response in the body. Let’s think about Covid I’m general. In the beginning China was “supposedly” stacking bodies. The earliest epicenters in the US had higher death rates in the most at risk people. Overtime that death rate relative to the number of cases has come down. The question is did an early mutation cause the virus deaths to spike or did a higher incidence of infection make it appear so? It’s sort of like the vaccines. Small sample sized trials “supposedly” looked ok. Now when used in higher numbers, problems look more common (I do think something is not right with them).

Be careful if you try to search for this. There’s a lot of “fact checkers” stating viruses do get worse and more deadly. But back in March 2020 CNN was saying viral mutations are normal and not a cause for concern. Here’s a good article with a level headed explanation: https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/more-than-you-ever-wanted-to-know-about-viral-mutation/ I like the way it is presented. In general extremes resort to something more moderate in viral cycles. This is true. I suspect we are seeing this with the Delta variant.

Here an example of how this crap is being spun: https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2021/jul/07/instagram-posts/data-showing-lower-death-rate-coronavirus-delta-va/

Politifact is ranking the statement that a study shows the delta variant is 19 times less deadly. Their rationale isn’t the math, it’s that the sample size is too small. Yet, if we are too believe that mutations are more deadly, wouldn’t we see more deaths early on as the new strain becomes more prevalent.

Here is the actual report referenced in the article: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1001354/Variants_of_Concern_VOC_Technical_Briefing_17.pdf

Actual Numbers: Alpha (Original): ~225k Cases w/ 1.9% death rate Delta: -92k cases w/ 0.1# death rate

Now the 92k number is actually not that small. In my simple mind, if the death rate was going to be higher, you’d see a trend emerge in a number that large. And it’s not like the Alpha case pool was 10 times larger either.

So… despite the fear mongering might we be seeing a less dangerous version of the virus taking hold? I suspect so. I also suspect that, as in Israel, you are going to see more problems with the vaccinated. I’m not sure why yet, except that Dr. Malone and Brett Weinstien’s theory that the mRNA vaccine spike protein is cytotoxic and causing problems might hold water.

I’m convinced Ivermectin is the key to making this go away. Yet it is being suppressed in favor of the vaccines, which do not look good in Israel at the moment (at least for the Delta). I also look at calls for more masks and lockdowns and suspect that they are rewriting history: convince the world that viruses DO get more deadly with time and force us to mask and hide in our homes again.

Think logically about this - if viruses got more lethal with time why is this the first pandemic in our lifetime? Shouldn’t it be the 100th? If we look at what we see and now what we are being told, deep down we all know something isn’t right.

Flowers_for_Alger 1 point ago +1 / -0

A virus doesn't have a goal. Its is simply a "program" floating around until it enters a living cell and "hijacks" the cells' systems by incorporating its RNA/DNA into the host. Lethality decreases (the more lethal a virus, the more likely it kills its hosts and ends transmission to other hosts. The less lethal variants "survive" because they are weaker and DO NOT kill the host. Contagiousness and lethality are VERY different.

Gaunt 1 point ago +5 / -4

So, not disagreeing on principle, but your initial claim is false. Mutations of a virus can make it more or less lethal, or not change its lethality.

Bidensbrain2020 6 points ago +6 / -0

This is true but it less lethal but more infectious mutations out compete the more lethal mutations. So the overwhelming trend is to lower lethality. Not always just in the vast majority of cases.

The narrative around Delta is always about infectiousness and case counts, not overall lethality. Aka bullshit

Battlefield 5 points ago +5 / -0

Nor for pandemics. Every pandemic since records began has mutated to become more contagious and less deadly.

If you're talking about viruses in general, then yes, but again, a pandemic needs to become more contagious but less deadly to survive.

MarkusCincinnatus 4 points ago +4 / -0

I think he was glossing over the give and take between lethality and contagiousness

LongTimeListener 3 points ago +3 / -0

Natural selection forces viruses to become less lethal. More lethal varieties kill the host so that their lethal characteristics do not propagate.

Slyver 24 points ago +24 / -0

That's because unvaccinated American's are the people most likely to look at the data and the least likely to watch the news which lies about it.

It's not complicated.

Kamalas_a_Bitch 5 points ago +5 / -0

a good cure for Covid is to turn off the TV. The best one is to never turn it on.

IwantBoobs 4 points ago +4 / -0

This. We wouldn't even know the virus' existence if we shut down the media and the internet, took off our masks and walked around outside like normal.

Unvaccinated and unafraid

Gandiva 14 points ago +14 / -0

There is zero evidence that a corona virus even exists. And even if there were evidence, which there is not, there is not a single attempt that has been made to prove that it causes any illness. Look up Andrew Kaufman on bitchute who is leading the charge into exposing the fraud that is viral theory. Why does anyone on this site buy into the conventional theory on viruses? The medical profession is just as corrupt and paid for as the media. No one on here believes anything the media says, so why do they lend any credibility to the medical/biotech institutions? Virology is among the most corrupt fields in medicine. If the media is not a suitable analogy, then think of the climate science field and how completely rotten it has become.

Gaunt 4 points ago +4 / -0

Wait: claiming there is no isolated coronavirus is fine, but are you now claiming there are no viruses, at all?

Wormself 2 points ago +2 / -0

Tell any normie this, “they don’t have isolated” … your conversation ends there. There is no amount of evidence you can show …

Gandiva 1 point ago +1 / -0

So true! And it seems to have little to do with IQ and everything to do with whatever other form of intelligence is responsible for gullibility.

Gandiva 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'm not necessarily claiming that. Though I think you're right that I perhaps should have clarified my words a little better to ensure I didn't imply that. It's easier to take one leap at a time, rather than two. I personally do not believe in the existence of viruses. I did not start out years ago by questioning all virus theory. I started with just HIV, reading Peter Duesberg's "Inventing the AIDS Virus". Then looking into a host of other virues whose existence was dismantled by the phenomenal book "Virus Mania" (3rd edition). Finally, the corona fraud. Eventually, one is able to generalize the fraud of individual viruses to the field and its virus theory as a whole. There is not one methodologically sound, reproducible study that has ever isolated, photographed, and/or genetically characterized a virus, nor proven causation for an illness. Not . . . one. And the original studies that set the standards for isolation and characterization of viruses are a mere mockery of logic and the scientific method. I recommend you start following Andrew Kaufman's videos in order to introduce you to this deeper dive down the rabbit hole.

Yes. And, recently heard about the 'Epsilon' varient. Or the 'California' varient. This article talks about it while pushing the experimental drug. Ugh

As an unvaccinated intelligent human, I am least concerned about anything or variant the msm i squawking about.

sparty_girl 9 points ago +9 / -0

How do they come up with the number of cases, hospitalizations and deaths? Anyone can make up numbers and it would be too cumbersome for a normal person to try and verify these numbers.

I contacted two of my local hospitals and the only numbers they would give me are current cases. One didn't have any Covid admissions and the other had 2.

What happens when we get to Omega variant?

ceegeegee 8 points ago +8 / -0

I saw this question come up in an interview between RFK Jr. and Naomi Wolf in the spring of this year. She pointed out this out:

...most of the major news outlets who’ve reported on the pandemic cite the COVID-19 Tracking Project or Johns Hopkins database. So again, I build databases like this myself with developers, so I know exactly that you can tell any story at all with a digital database. It just depends on what you’re feeding in the backend, as we call it. And no one gets to see the raw datasets that these COVID platforms are declaring. So every day you see, or this was true until about six weeks ago, you would see these vast, scary charts. Always the cumulative number was reported as if it was that day’s number, very deceptive. But even if that wasn’t deceptive, it was datasets you couldn’t see, datasets you couldn’t vet or confirm as a reporter. It’s not confirmed. It’s just a dashboard saying this is the situation. And who owns those platforms?

So Mike Bloomberg funds the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health that provides one of the platforms. And also the COVID-19 Tracking Project uses data from a hedge fund called Enigma Business Solutions, I kid you not. And who just bought it? Well, “The Atlantic” houses it. And it’s not a government agency. It’s not a medical site. And who just bought “The Atlantic”? Mike Bloomberg. And who puts the kind of graph of COVID infections and deaths right underneath other Bloomberg kind of share recommendations worldwide, bond recommendations worldwide, Mike Bloomberg. So in my analysis of this kind of 360 degree control of the information about a pandemic, it’s also a way to legally kind of, legally illegally invest in the stock market. In other words, if you can control the economy, and you know five minutes before Mike Bloomberg puts it up on the COVID-19 Tracking Project that there’s gonna be a drop or there’s going to be rise, you’ll know whether to keep your shares in Amazon or sell your shares in Amazon. So it’s a fantastic way for a few rich guys and their buddies to take any risk out of capitalism basically, with us and our lives and our kids’ lives being the media by which they short and long the economy.

StormRanger 3 points ago +3 / -0

I always hear about new cases and not deaths. Why is that?

Bedminster 3 points ago +3 / -0

The only people concerned about catching the "variant" or covid for that matter are those who already got the vax. Let that sink in.

IwantBoobs 1 point ago +1 / -0

Exactly. How do they justify this to themselves?
"Hey, I just got vaccinated! I did my part! Here's my card!" #gotmyshot
"Hey, this new variant is kinda scary, yikes!" #putonyourmask
"Man, these unvaccinated are going to kill us all!" #fucktheunvaxxed
How the hell would the last 2 statements be a problem if the first statement works? Contradictions upon contradictions.

"68% of Americans have at least one dose of the vaccine.." yea. And Biden got 81 million votes. I mean FFS minors under 18 count as Americans, right?

LucRaRnia 2 points ago +2 / -0

Its true because those who are vaccinated are fear mongering sheep and they follow what the media tells them to do.

Csmall 2 points ago +2 / -0

Biden wouldn’t know how to handleCovid if it smacked him in the face. Door to door now is his big plan, so he can put you in his non compliant data base. If the Delta variant were so strong and lethal, why would you have people going door to door?

TrumpsTower 4 points ago +4 / -0

Covid was fake to begin with. its the common cold. Everything came up covid. Flu season? Gone. Tuberculosis? Gone. Bronchitis? That was covid too.

They batched all these normal virus and cold as covid and cried pandemic when old people in nursing homes died which happens each year.

CarrieDodson17 3 points ago +3 / -0

I'm of this opinion too but I'm not a virologist and I can admit when there are things I don't know the answer to. When people ask me if I think the virus is even real at this point, my answer is that for practical purposes, it doesn't matter whether COVID 19 and delta lambda variants exist or not. What is important is that we have therapeutics available that have proven to be up to 100% effective in preventing and up to over 80% effective in treating any strain of Coronavirus illness a person might contract. Literally, the flu, in all its forms, if treated early and properly is a non issue going forward in society so there is no justification for anyone to take any flu vaccine ever again.

PhDinNY 1 point ago +1 / -0

At least MSM isn't saying "the deadlier and more contagious Delta variant"; I guess they have a faint trace of decency still in them. Yes, it's more contagious, but does the country make plans to shut down again over the common cold?
