After this incident you didn't hear much about BLM and Antifa protests in Austin anymore. They kind of fizzled out. They only want to loot, burn and murder in a safe and controlled environment where they get let out of jail in a day and their victim gets thrown away for life.
I was honestly shocked that Austin didn't embrace the Antifa BS. I live between San Antonio and Austin, and I was worried for a hot minute last summer, but then I remembered this is Texas. Texas gonna Texas, amirite?
Actually through social media (and meeting them years ago when they didn't seem so crazy) i know several Antifa members who were there the night that Antifa guy got shot. Some were only feet away. It scared them to death what happened. They were so scared of getting shot that they couldn't bring themselves to "protest" (mob) on the streets of Austin again. They melted down when the Uber driver was releases on bail. You'd think Rambo had been released and would be hunting them in the streets. The delusions of these people are off the charts.
In reality we know this Uber driver was just in the wrong place at the wrong time and the last thing he wants is to be anywhere near an Antifa mob again. However, in the delusions of the Antifa, they see a cold-blooded killer let loose to stalk them on the streets of Austin again.

The dude wearing the purple hoodie... you can't see his face and he ducks away from the camera behind the palm tree so it's hard to tell what side he was on but I think he was antifa hitting his own... I'm pretty sure she was with antifa also. But purple hoodie he was swinging at anyone not wearing a mask, she may have had her's pulled down. You can hear rooftop Korean yelling "unmask them!"
