Efficacy of Nicotine in Preventing COVID-19 Infection (NICOVID-PREV)
Daily active smokers are infrequent among outpatients or hospitalized patients with COVID-19. Several arguments suggest that nicotine is responsible for this protective effect via the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR).
Nicotine may inhibit the penetration and spread of the virus and have a prophylactic effect in COVID-19 infection.
You don't have to smoke it, just can use a lozenge.
And according to the Graphene Oxide detox protocols,
"CBD oil and Cannabis will help your body cleanse GO Nanoparticles."
I knew my vices would save me one day! 🐸

Oddly enough, my insurance wont pay out if you have nicotine in your system. This goes for vapes too.
This.
It’s definitely fishy and always has been to me. I’ve never been able to figure out their true intentions but I do know it’s not because they care. SO MUCH money has gone into anti-tobacco campaigns. Why???
And I always remember what Michael Moore said a few years ago, “…look at what WE did to the smokers…” referring to shaming and somewhat ostracizing them.
I don’t know what to make of it but, I trust absolutely nothing that the government has their hand in, or spends an astronomical amount of money on, and it doesn’t end at smoking/tobacco.
It’s a rabbit hole that I know exists and I’d love to go down, but have never been able to find.
Hard to know what's really going on isn't
What if the entire campaign against nicotine aimed at the one moment in time because they know that nicotine would prevent Rona. So what if in order to prevent a virus that was 99.99 percent survivalable one had to take on the addiction from hell.
I'm a smoker of cigarettes and cannabis. I've never worn a mask.i don't wash my hands every 5 seconds.i don't distance. Never been tested.
I don't even know if I caught the coof or not.suspect I may have around Christmas 2019. Earlier this year I had a cough and runny nose that just would not stop dripping for like 2 weeks.
Makes you kind of think of why there was a strong push from commercials in the last decade. Funding came from somewhere.
This has been around. I read some articles on it. I have brought it up to people, in person, that are on board with alternative ideas and thoughts. I think the fact that we all know, pharma wants us sick and dead, and that is why 'cigarettes' are still widely available, is one reason why the idea of nicotine as a helpful item seems to be abrasive to a lot of health conscious people. Its too bad really, it is a thing we know a lot about and if it could help, why not? Por que no?
Bigpharma suppressed the results of a study on passive smoking (inconclusive) so that they could ban smoking in public and drive up the price of cigarettes. The additives also cause disease so more money from healthcare.
It wasn't inconclusive at all. Harvard Medical School did a 20 year study on second hand tobacco smoke in the 1970s. The results of their study was that people who live with smokers face no increased risk of anything. A few years later the Govt paid other scientists to re evaluate the findings. They took the money and used some creative extrapolation to be able to say some tiny risk exists. The scientists later publicly called their work "Junk Science."
Now you know why there has been a massive campaign for several decades to rid Western Countries of any and all tobacco, while in Asian Countries, particularly China, use has been encouraged at the same time. Teenagers are allowed to buy and use tobacco, and smoke indoors with others at will.
This has been a long time in the making.
Who'd a thunk tobacco would survive the onslaught but here we are.
This is why I vape.
At least, it is NOW lol
Do you know of any science or reports that indicate vaping is harmful. I never smoked, but did chew tobacco. Got addicted to the nicotine gum as means to quit chewing, and now I'm vaping to quit the gum lol.
I haven't done any research on health of vaping, and wondering if you might have.
I have a little. I quit 20 year dipping habit, and was ready to pull my hair out by day 3..so my brother bought me cheap vape pen. That was 10 years ago, and I haven't touched tobacco since. I've also stepped down from the highest nicotine level I could buy to the lowest. In fact, I usually by 3mg nicotine liquid and mix it 1:1 with zero-nicotine liquid. Moved from a pen to a nice unit, etc.
The biggest concern I've read about is people being concerned about propylene glycol, which is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) as a good additive, by confusing it with ethylene glycol (which you don't want to breathe, lol).
Also, you don't want to vape any fats/oils, as you don't want lipid pneumonia. Diacetyl should be avoided as well (butter flavoring) for the same reason (popcorn lung, ewwew). I only buy brands I trust, nothing fly by night from China.
I vape mint and berry flavors, clear liquid. Never felt better, and my teeth look great again. If you're really worried about it you can even make your own liquid.
Not saying it's healthy, but it's better than waking around with a plug in my lip. There's even and old study showing mice exposed to aerosol of propylene glycol for colds less than other mice. I'll reference it if you're interested. But it's from the 50s lol.
Thanks. I trust my local vap vendor a hell of a lot more than I do my doctor. Sad ain't it.
Snuff and chewing tobacco deliver without stressing your lungs.
There’s science behind that.
Wuhan bats rarely smoked cigarettes, so the virus wasn’t used to “armored” lungs when it made the totally natural leap to humans.
Oh, just look at f’d-up China. Odds are that at least a few of their bats were burning a (tiny bat-sized) pack-a-day, or more.
Word. And I’d also do whatever I could to get any assets I could out of that country, despite draconian, distortionary capital controls, because even though much of the West is currently in the midst of an undeniable “everything bubble”, that doesn’t remotely approach the mind-blowing scale and size of the Chinese asset bubble that will utterly destroy the CCP when it bursts… which it will. Although I don’t know if bats generally accumulate financial assets, and especially doubt that those with a spendy cigarette habit do. But you know what I’m saying.
Interesting that both Bats, and Tobacco plants spend a great deal of time hanging upside down.
I think that's what chokes you.
Heck man I got addicted to the gum in attempt to quit the Redman.
True Story. I managed to quick chewing once around 2005. I had it wooped. I was tobacco free for about two weeks.
Well I sat down, turned on the television and what do you think was playing, the Outlaw Josey Wales. There was Josey spiting his chaw in that scene where he faced down the comancheros, you know where the old indian guy says, "Get ready little lady, hell is coming to breakfast."
I got in my car and drove to the 7-11 and bought a plug of Bull of the Woods, and haven't been able to stop nicotine since.
I went about a year here in the Philippines without my Copenhagen Wintergreen because the plandemic made it impossible to find for the first six months. I thought I might as well just stop since I had survived 6 months without it. but I finally gave in because my anger at not having my nicotine + dealing with the loss of freedom from the government's mishandling of the flu was too much to handle. MyDaughtersMommy tracked down some Swedish Snus from a shop in Manila. I don't like the Swedish stuff but it still put me in a better mood. And, finally the shop has started selling some other American brands -- still no Copenhagen though.
I haven't gotten Covid -- now I know why. ;)
Well Copenhagen is just one county over right?
You know when you said Swedish Snus, I assumed you misspelled Swedish Snuff, but was surprised when I ran into this article by accident
Great imagery. I can smell the sawdust.
Sawdust - Wasn't that a song written by Hoagie Carmichael.
Cigarettes - check; cannabis (in all of its forms) - check; best health of my life so far - check. Masks, obsessive with sanitizers, tests, vaccs - fuck that shit. I'm almost 70 and it's been a great run so far.
My sister in law visited first part of summer. She does medical marijuana. I am not a pot smoker. Have a few times smoked it, but I don't handle it very well. I took a few hits of that stuff she had, and man was it potent, not like the stuff from the 70's or 80's. Me and pot don't do well together, so I stay away from it.
I remember once growing a marijuana plant in my apartment window when I was around 18/19. Went to breakfast on morning, and the cop that lived in same apartments ask me, what is that plant growing in you window. I help my hand up and said, I just wanted to see if it would grow. He said, it'll grow, get rid of it.
Yes, no - it is nothing like that now.
Even in the beginning there were studies out of the UK that the infection rate among smokers was 50% compared to the general population. It has since been buried. I smoke a pack a day, have been exposed to Covid, and if I’ve gotten it, I didn’t notice.
My husband has ulcerative colitis & one of his doctors told him nicotine could help ease the symptoms but that he’s not recommending he starts smoking. So there must be something in those cancer sticks that can actually be helpful in some instances.
And menthol increases your vertical leap by roughly 35%.
Damn, Big Pharma asssshoes be crackin’ down on inexpensive, effective natural medicines
I wouldn't trust the 35%. I read that 67% of statistics are just made up.
Oh, I only cite the 33% that aren’t made up.
I'm vaping some menthol as we speak. Haven't been sick yet.
Never thought i'd be happy to be a smoker
One commenter mentioned that nicotine helps remove the S2 proteins (the "other" spoke proteins) that accumulate to cause the long haul symptoms. Any info on that?
I seem to recall a study too where nicotine could help restore your smell/taste post covid.
Tempting to try. I'm on day 10 day, (day 3 of steroids). Taste is finally starting to come back. Everything tastes like shit though. Probably the zinc.
This could be true. Both me and my husband have nicotine addictions. He smokes (outside only) and I switched to vaping 7 years ago. I know, I know, it’s terrible for our health. We have never had COVID, however we also take many supplements, we exercise, eat healthy and pray.
Do you know for fact that vaping is bad for health? If it is then I'm thinking it would have to be because of the stuff that's inhaled besides the nicotine.
I talked to a Swedish scientist in a hotel once while away on business. This was before vaping started.
He told me that the only reason cigarettes were bad is because all of the additives/chemicals that tobacco companies add to cigs, that smoking tobacco without them is harmless.
He was not in any business related to cigarette that would have give him reason to lie, and he really know the scientist behind it, so I believed him, so this is why I wonder why you think vaping may have harmful affects. And because I'm am new to vaping, and really any inhaled intake of nicotine so I am curious.
I have read this before. Infact, using nicotine patches, are apparently the best preventative for Covid-19
Makes me wonder if menthol has any effect. They banned the sale of menthol cigarettes.
Who banned the sale of menthol cigs. In what country?
About 3 months ago. FDA vowed to ban the sale of menthol cigarettes. I don't smoke so I haven't noticed if they actually went through with it. I figured it was a sure thing. I stand corrected if they haven't yet done it.
Okay, thanks. My wife still gets here menthol fix.
I don't believe this. I know a lot of heavy smokers who were hospitalized and even passed from covid.
