My husband is in LE & comes in contact with god only knows how many people and since this all began we just got it about a month+ ago. And we got it from my daughters fiancé. She’s like did you get tested? I said no, why would I? Husband did only because he had to for work (to get time off but still get paid without using his own sick leave). I told her the doctor didn’t even do anything for him anyway, didn’t give him one medicine to take. Just if you have a hard time breathing go to the ER. And suggested he take the vaxx, hubby said “why would I take the vaxx, I’m already sick with it and now have the antibodies.” Shut that doctor up, he couldn’t argue with it. It wasn’t our normal doctor, it was another one from the office we go to, but I’m sure our doctor would have said the same thing, only she would probably either given him a prescription for something to help or suggest something over the counter.
On a good note, our County’s school superintendent announced yesterday afternoon that staring Monday no more mask mandate ... for the time being, but said it may be needed to bring back during the winter, but have to wait to see the numbers. 🙄 Just like two days before this announcement he had made another saying mask would continue. Wonder what got him to make that fast turn around of the mask mandate? Parents are not happy with him or the board members because of the masks and how they were treated at the last board meeting.
What do you do to ensure social interaction with your kids? I want to pull my kids from school into home schooling but honestly the social aspect on interacting with other kids their age is holding me back. Dumb I know, but socialization is monumentally important to kids success in life imo.

Honestly, I don’t worry about that at all. I teach my kids how to interact with people when we go to the store - how to be respectful and polite. This is not something kids will ever learn from each other. I am constantly talking to my kids. I have had people tell me how well spoken my kids are. We read a lot and not the books that recommended these days. We read classics. I am also involved in church. We are there every week. Whenever there is an opportunity to serve I get my kids involved. We take snacks/cookies/donuts to local police stations so that they learn to show respect to officers.
I really do not want my kids learning from their peers - disrespecting elder, bullying, name calling … no. As my kids have grown they have had more and more interaction, but they know where to come to discuss issues. And they know the type of behaviors we do and do not approve of. We do not watch much TV either which is only brainwashing anyway.
You can join a co-op group. Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts. Sign them up for dance or martial arts. That’s just not in my budget.
For the love of God , investigate getting them into a trade school or science based school.
Do not let them do anything regarding BA, Arts , Humanities. Avoid . And do your research on whether the university has fired staff for having gender critical opinions.

My youngest son is my late in life babe. He is brilliant - genius level. Anyways, he graduated college last spring and is a socialist. Our public schools are dangerous.
Please look at your public school individually. I taught for 20 years high school social studies. I promise I taught good old-fashioned love of country facts. I sponsored a drug free club. All kids can not be home schooled or even attend private school. There is not a private high school within an hour of my home. My local public school has teachers who also teach Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Please do not abandon all of us.
