I had team lunch the other day with a bunch of my liberal co-workers (at least 90% of them are) and the Alec Baldwin conversation came up. I was the only person who believed Alec to be guilty. All the rest of my co-workers were saying he's not guilty and it was a horrific accident. It's obvious none of them are licensed gun holders. I was the only one at the table to call the bullshit as I saw it.
They truly do not understand the rules of gun safety. They were a little shocked when I said, you don’t point a gun at someone unless you intend on using it. Also, I reminded them that it is also the actor’s responsibility to check the firearm again after the armorer declares it safe.
It is just sad when people dont understand that a firearm needs to checked to make sure if it is loaded that the safety is on, and ensure there isnt a round in the chamber assuming it is in the firing position like if a cable lock isnt engaged with its length running through the barrel for example.

But I don't believe he's completely innocent in this either - it might come out he was doing someone a favor, or maybe just didn't care, or it could be something will come out about the woman who died that she might have been a threat of some type of a group of people that included him. I just think there's more to his involvement than what's being let on, that's all.
